Thanks for reviewing this mod, i appreciate it! Also when you are done setting up windows, sign out and you will see that there is another user called windows 8 which contains everything like the taskbar and charms bar, start button, large taskbar icons, no action center, windows 8.1 wallpapers, and a read me file for more info. I think the windows hero might have not seen the readme file in administrator but its fine.This video is very well made!

@@gdalex7132 even steam is receiving updates and works perfectly. I have dualboot win 7 + server 2012 r2 on 7950X3D and rtx 3090 ti build.

It would be enough to remove the Action Center and enlarge the icons on the taskbar

your stock windows ram usage higher than my stock windows 10? in a VM just after post install it uses 1.0 GB but still higher than Windows 8.1's 600 MB and much higher than XP under 200 megs

@@FluffyFoxUwU But the ram usage is a bit higher or almost the same as stock Windows 10. Modern Windows 10 uses above 2 GB ram and this one will use more.

Nice mod and video! But I think the theme should have been applied by default and the taskbar elements should be disabled by default. And the taskbar transparency doesn't seem that right. I think it's better to remove the oobe and do these, as I know it ruins stuff in a mod. You should tell the creator about these stuff.

Hi, i am the creator of this mod. I know this may be confusing but when you switch users in this mod, there is a user that already exists called windows 8. It has the theme applied by default, windows 8 taskbar elements, and more things like the charms bar. You can see this if you check the screenshots in the download link of this mod on archive. Thanks.

This should've been based on 21H2 LTSC instead, because 22H2 is literally just 21H2 and 21H2 LTSC is much lighter than 22H2.

I am about to make Windows 7 as my main and have an antivirus I don't really buy a lot of Steam games anymore half those games I own somewhere else everyone should just go back to console gaming at this point console is master race Steam service is garbage.

@@powerblastx it would be nice if you change the icon of ms-store and not made a whole new user for windows 8 taskbar you probably can do this with personalization window {that is what i think} and you can probably also shrink the size of the .iso file i believe that you can make a nice "replica" of windows 8.1 Thanks for replaying

Windows 8.1 is much faster then Windows 10! As long as your apps work on Windows 8.1, you can use it!

Lol.... Use Windows 10 technical preview builds...rather this. Some of those builds still support mainstream apps

Login screen file replacement only works in Windows 10 version 1507 (The file used for replacement must be version 10.0, and its 6.4, otherwise the system will crash)
