Definitely agree and we can see her skin in real life so much more relatable. when We look in the mirror we don’t have studio lights so it’s good to see real life skin

my cousins both bought this foundation and they were confused cause it looked like the same one too but one of them chose a matte finish because they have oily skin and a fuller coverage cause she has more acne and the other did a luminous finish and medium coverage cause she has dry skin and not a lot of acne and i was there when they tried it out and the 2 foundations were TOTALLY different and the description of the 2 foundations were totally different too! so in conclusion i think the foundation has the same name but a different formula??? maybe not sure lol!

Hmm how strange, who knows! When I filled out the quiz again saying I had dry skin & was 50 plus etc, it came to the checkout with the exact same foundation, I don’t think they custom mix it because you don’t have to take the quiz you can just buy the foundation straight up, and there’s only one option! How straanngeeee! ❤️

SOPH warning about filler: any doctor that will fill inside "smile lines" is a hack, and is doing something dangerous. there are prominent arteries in that area, which make injections more dangerous, so responsible doctors always do cheek filler instead. plumping the cheek pulls on smile lines, diminishing them. I would also recommend microneedling before filler, just to see if it works for you. it's pretty cheap compared to 6 syringes of filler, which is usually the base amount required to achieve a balanced look on both sides of the face. try to get microneedling done at a cosmetic dermatology office, because it's safer, cleaner and they do a better job. just a couple things to think about from someone that knows about these practices! you're beautiful without it, honestly.

For anyone interested: I took the quiz 2 times with different answers to compare the ingredients. They were exactly the same. So I would really guess they collect your answers to either build the brand, maybe develop different products, or cater the newsletter to you specifically. Let's see if I'll receive tips and tricks for dry skin even though mine is oily 🤣 oh and the ingredients were also FULL of dimethicone 🙆‍♀️

I love how we can actually see your skin in your videos! I hate it when youtubers say "let me bring you closer so you can see" but it's just smoothed out or they don't come close enough hahah. I can actually trust your opinion and see how it is in real life in stead of just in videos❤️

I actually enjoyed your lighting when you reduced the brightness 😊 I was able to see the make up at a more realistic tone

Maria. S She tested two Juvia’s place palettes ages ago, and was pretty impressed, for sure the Saharan was one of them, the other must have been magic or masquerade. I’m not sure whether she’s kept them since, since they’re quite colourful! I’d love for her to try more, though! Maybe the warrior I and II or the nude mini palettes would be her style 😊

I think there's "one" foundation because it's customizable, like function of beauty. The name is the same, but I don't think that there's only one type.

I use this with their primer and concealer its amazing! I get a proper flawless look 😍 im also colour 'woke up like this' I'm an estee lauder girl and I put this foundation up with it 😊 I love the way it doesn't sink into my fine lines like most foundation tend to do.

I'm so glad you've uploaded this because I've been seeing endless ads for this foundation and Ive been hugely on the fence about trying it out

I bought this and have been using it for about 2 months. I cocktail it with marula oil and spf for the workday and use full-strength for evening events. The colour match is perfect, and that has been a challenge my entire makeup-wearing lifetime. I’m fair, have combo skin and like a satiny-slightly dewy finish - this foundation gives me that finish and t has a comfortable serum-like feel. I follow with a light dusting of loose powder in the t-zone and then a light finishing spray. It wears well for about 8 hours, then wears off evenly (no breaking up on me). I will definitely finish the bottle but will not re-purchase only because of the high price.

I love Il Makiage! The foundation and concealer test matched my skin perfectly. I think sometimes people might not always know enough about their skin tone, ie, warm, cool, neutral etc.

This is the best, most candid review of this foundation that I've seen. You get up close so we can see how it is actually wearing on your skin after 8 hours. Super helpful!! Xoxo

Your skin looks great! As for the separating that was happening, I’ve also had that happen when I wear a silicone primer + a water based foundation (or vice versa) I don’t know much about that foundation or what base you used, but that could be a possibility!!

I think it'll be so interesting if Soph does a challenge where she tries a super different make up style like the korean style or glossier style etc

I feel like they're super cheeky asking the other random questions - it seems like you're taking a questionnaire to help them improve future products which is totally fine IF they actually told you that is what it was for rather than misleading you. The other day I bought one of your pallets, then today I got the other eyeshadow and the highlight pallets

So I just received this 3 days ago and I absolutely love it. No matter what anybody says no matter what any review says I know for a fact that it works so so good. I have a lot of blemishes and scarves on my face and it completely blends everything. And I also got the concealer which is just as good

I get this ad EVERY SINGLE TIME I get on TikTok! I’ve always wanted to try it but at that price point I just can’t make myself buy it in case I don’t like it. Thank you Soph for doing this review! I think I might actually try it now☺️

The different quiz questions are to survey their customer base so they can figure out exactly who their consumer is. They can also use the results to expand their product line.

It's because the foundation formula is altered according to what you you tell them but it's just the same bottle and name

Honestly thank you Soph for reviewing this. I’ve hemmed and hawed on it, but you’re right about your smile lines. The formula does seem to crease, but this is coming from an oily person with smile lines!

I’ve seen so so many ads for this foundation also and I never trusted enough to test so I’m really happy that you finally tested it out!

So pleased you're trying this. I feel like there's something real scammy about this brand. I feel like the quiz is supposed to make you feel you've got a personally tailored formula.

I took the quiz twice and did get different foundation recommendations. I’m currently waiting for my trial to arrive. Can’t wait to try it out!

You should try the Catrice HD liquid foundation! Honestly it’s my absolute favourite and lasts ages, doesn’t settle and doesn’t look cakey!! Plus it’s only £6.95!! Also their concealer is my faveee, doesn’t settle into fine lines at all and amazing coverage!

The brand asks those questions so they can fit it to your face. Thats why it works with so many other skin types. It is also a two week trial. And the money back what it means is it can take up to 60 days to get the money back. And then it is suggesting to wear it for a week all together incase you don't wear makeup that often in order to see if you like it or not because one wear test isn't going to tell you what it works with and doesn't.

Tarte shape tape concealer separates on me like that foundation too! I work in a kitchen so I think it’s the heat and looks the worst around the mouth - only use it for short outings as it does have really good coverage 🤨🙂

Okay so I received it a few days ago I said that I would put my review in here. I freaking love it!! No joke, it blends so well I have slight discoloring in my face as well as a few scars from acne and it blends everything so nicely. The key is definitely not blending with your hands It even says it on the box to not do it It comes in such a cute little box and gives you a card that tells you what to do and what not to do. I will not be returning it I love it
