I've used my corded Rapala electric knife for over 15 years. Still love it. I usually use the longer blades on panfish and the shorter blades on eyes and perch. Longer blades seem to flex more and easier to use on those taller bodied fish.
Heck ya sobi I’m 48 and I’m running my grandpas Rapala fillet knife! I love it but the electric fillet knives are sweet! Just opened the cabin in northern mi can’t wait to catch some crappie’s! Keep them coming sobi!

Nothing like a big Lund to fish out of. That’s how learned the ins on the big water. Much love from IL. Been going casa lake MN for 30 years. 🤘

I grew up scaling fish and eating fillets with the skin on. Then my wife’s stepdad introduced me to an electric fillet knife and I don’t mind cleaning ‘em now. Game changer 💯. Definitely recommend cordless! Thanks for another great vid.
I've used electric knife's for 15 yrs. and I love em. Hey Sobi try the Fillet King fish cleaning board. SUPER SLICK YOU'LL LOVE THIS THING!!
The bay you launched in I did really well in the winter time
I always appreciate the honest reviews and info you give us. Side note, you have the best outro music in the game!
Thanks for sharing Sobi! Cannot wait to catch my first crappie!

Thanks Andy, happy days!
The cardboard cutting board is the best for filleting fish, I prefer a 18 pk which I usually have about empty by fillet time 🤙 you run a great channel Sobi and I appreciate the work you put in and information you share
my buddies teaching me how to make knifes and I'm currently working on a filet knife. can't wait to filet some fish with it

@@sobifishing sounds good man I could send one of my skinning knife
Love the boat dude i have work for Lunds for 15 years. Keep up the good videos dude
The best electric knife blade I've found for pan fish is the Berkley SlimFillet blade it flexes as much as your hand knife.
I used to be a firm believer in traditional filet knives until I saw my brother use an electric. Absolutely work fantastically with practically no waste. You can get through a whole bucket of fish in no time and don’t have to worry about the blades going dull and needing to keep resharpening the blade multiple times.
Awesome vid! I’m gonna get my dad that for his bday!
give it time and you'll master it. Mr Twister corded knife with an American Angler Shark blade. need to grind off a little bit to fit properly, but definitely worth the blade upgrade. more flex then the standard blades
You’ll get the hang of the electric knife! The only time I use my filet knife is removing y bones in a northern. I like to remove the ribs before I skin them. No method is wrong find what works for you!
those crappies are huge!!
That’s a pretty slick knife!! That’s pretty quick for you cutting up a limit of crappies!! My mouth is watering! Where is the fish fry video????
Hays! 🙋🏻♂️ keep er tuned
love some crappie
I'm electric all the way. It takes touch but once you have it, lights out
Super flex is fire, use it alot
American Angler with a shark blade is the best fish knife have found.
Do you remove the pin bones? I'm a traditional knife guy but i have never tried an electric. I'd give it a go if someone had one.
You got to try the 9 inch blades on the electric knife way more flexible on panfish
Electric is better for nice crappier and bluegill. I use regular fillet knife for northern though. Great video Sam!

@@sobifishing no I took the batteries out to be charged last weekend so this Saturday we are going out. But I’m mainly getting all my gear ready for pike season. We open up on may 7th and I’m trying to break my record from last year
THAT boat is sweet nice and open great for fishing out of ,,
Just curious why you went with regular lithium ion over the R12?
What is the name and model of the boat you have
what is your manual knife?
How do you get the pin bones out when you use the OG rapala?
@catchonedrinktwo
Жыл бұрын
Similar to cutting out the rib cage, but the pin bones are embedded in the meat. Feel for the pins and make the cut above(toward the dorsal) on them.
That regular knife is bad how much and where
