Testing and Fault Finding - Low Insulation Resistance Fault - Testing at 250 and 500 Volts DC

It isn't often that you can carryout the insulation resistance test will all circuit connected because of RCD protection in a consumer unit. In this video Marcus has no RCCB's or RCBO's in the consumer unit (fuse box) so he can test between all line conductor to the neutral bar, all line conductor the the earth bar and between all neutral and earth connections. Marcus shows how using 250 volts DC from his Megger MFT tester can prove all loads have been removed when testing between line and neutral (live conductors). After achieving a low insulation result between the neutral and earth bar Marcus show how to track down the circuit that has the fault.
