Testing Akaso Action Camera With Wireless Mic - Bonus Test Included!
In this video, I run the Akaso Brave 4 through a test of different microphones using different adapters. The big limitation with this Akaso brand is being limited to only their brand of an external microphone and not having the ability to go wireless. Let's check it out!

awesome video which I was really waiting for. I just got Akaso Brave 7 LE which only has micro usb and mini hdmi ports and no USB C port. This is very informative and crisp video.
Very informative and helpful as I was looking for long time for my akaso brave 7! If u find any soldiering solution make a video! Thanks 😍
did you make sure to change the microphone output to be external? Just asking because when you demonstrated the manufacturers microphone and the shotgun after it kind of sounded the same, and it may have been because it was recorded through the cameras microphone if that’s the case. I have this camera and I’m trying to get me a microphone set up that can make it wireless Bluetooth but it seems that won’t be possible.

I did realize afterward that it could've been the cameras mic picking up the audio. And yes, as of right now, there's no wireless mic option for this camera unfortunately
I’ve been searching for a wireless mic for Akaso.

I don't think they make one yet
I think the problem is this: The Type C connector (I’m writing for Acaso Brave 7) in the camera itself is Type C format only in size and dimensions. And the wiring of the wires is actually made for wiring the wires going to the Akaso brand microphone. If you resolder the wires from an external microphone of another brand in the same way as was done in the wire from the Akaso microphone, then everything will work. Or you can make an adapter with cross wires so as not to solder the original wires. Because it is now very inconvenient to manually resolder small parts - everything is very small and thin.

That makes sense. In that case, Akaso should consider putting out a wireless mic or allowing their cameras to use a wireless type C receiver. Thanks for the info.

@@RydinNStyle It is unlikely that Akaso will change its attitude regarding the microphone. But perhaps some third-party manufacturers will make an adapter, or enthusiasts will re-solder the connectors

How can I resolder the adapter with the cross wire setup? Anyone?
ok, so I just figured out something, if you buy a wireless microphone for the i phone, and then you buy an iPhone to micro usb adapter, then it will make a wireless connection to you AKASO!

So the iPhone will work with the Akaso, but you'll need the usb-c adapter? That's interesting, Thanks for sharing

@victorrosendal6156 I don't have an iPhone or the wireless iphone mic, but that's great info.
