I broke my N690 Katana today trying to chop a plant base. That's why I am doing some research. I was obviously lied to and taught that N690 is stronger than it actually is....

It gets pretty hard, but the toughness Is not that good

I don't think N690 steel is suitable for making Katana. It has high hardness and sharpness, but lacks toughness
