I'd love to see you do recoil testing on the back stop recoil pad.

I really appreciate the presentation. It's laid out just like following an outline on paper. As well as seeing the bullet points on screen. Makes it extremely easy to follow.

I’d love to see the hudu brake from southern precision tooling. I love mine but nobody believes that it works as good as it really does

I have a Area 419 on my Bergara HMR B14. I decided to get the full kit Area 419 makes for the rifle. It’s a nice little package bolt knob, bipod mount, scope mount and the muzzle brake. I think I paid 200 bucks for the whole setup 2 years ago. Anyway the brake is nice works good. I also have the Precision Armament M4 72 severe duty on my 30 cal gas gun that works wonders as well. Both are crazy loud lol sounds like a cannon going off. When I need to do some testing of new loads.

Most unpleasant brake to shoot and be around, by far.

How would the recoil on the Hawkins brake compare to the Ultradyne Apollo Max that you tested previously? Keep up the great videos!!

How do you calibrate the accelerometers for your test rig? a standard Bruel & Kjaer type vibration calculator or something else?

  • @Ultimatereloader

This is not an acceleration test setup- this is a force test setup. The sensor outputs a voltage that is proportional to the force applied to it. 0.001 volt per lb. It is pre-calibrated and verified with static weights.

Brakes, definitive study was already done on this. Yep. Interestingly big ports Not many smaller ones work best , by a lot.

Yep, that's why old tank brakes were the way that they were. Also why brakes like the JP recoil eliminator brake is so effective and basically the best brake you can buy for calibers 30 and under.

Not a particularly useful video. Yep...muzzle brakes reduce recoil. Got it. Why didn't you do an apples-to-apples direct comparison in performance between the two on each rifle system?
