How is it possible they play any show without The New Order? Killer song and the best in their library.

This is arguably the best line up Testament has had; DiGiorgio and Hoglan with Peterson are a relentless rhythm unit; Skolnick is in a league of his own in terms of lead work and Chuck Billy remains one of the most unique, original and consistent singers in metal. What a great band.

This line up kicked SO much ass ! Lombardo right after was absolutely insane and Dovas now is doing really well - they might change a few people here and there but they're like a big family and ALWAYS deliver ... most consistent and humble Thrash metal band out there - they deserve every inch of the fame they have and i think they should get more :)

Eric Peterson is one of the most underrated rhythm guitarists of the thrash metal scene. Great to see these guys killing it in 2018!

Chuck plays that mic-stand like no other. Lol!!!!!!!!!!!!! Does the singer play anything, sure he plays the mic stand. It's a spectacle to see. Even better when he comes down off stage directly in front of you. Then it took the pit push him back on the stage. That was a gig.

cyjazz no actually. This is recorded live. The camera guy I'm talking about is not the man behind the camera. I am talking about the man behind the desk managing the multiple cams, who has no idea what to focus in a metal concert. I myself had to step in and set the eq properly in several occasions in different festivals and concerts where the mixer guy had no idea what he was doing and one even asked me "what on earth a limiter was" . My point is " If you can't do your job properly what the hell are you doing there"

Alex is one of the best lead players in metal IMO. No-one creates a mood better while laying out a melodic dark undercurrent. Definitely one of my favorites.

Sound off old school metal heads. I first saw Testament on the New Order tour 1988. Testament, Voi Vod and Vio-lence.

Listened to them in hs in the late eighties. But only saw them in the 90s. Lucky for me they were doing small clubs. Chuck is a tall f-er. And his hand shake is like devastating. I'm glad that Alex is back and they get the respeck they deserve or at least better than they did in the nineties.

I caught them on that New Order tour as well. I may have seen them earlier. For sure at one of the shows Chuck Billy did a stage dive right onto my head. He was a big guy so I guess I'm lucky I suffered no damage.

It is the solo plus the changes in the rhythm guitar. I always thought Testament where worthy heirs of Maiden -in their very own way. Gave a Billy before nasal Dick-inson any time

Testament in my opinion is the greatest Thrash Metal band ever!!! All 12 studio albums they have done are all amazing to me. Chuck Billy is the perfect frontman and singer. The whole band is amazing at their instruments. Alex and Eric are a great guitar duo. Steve is a great bass guitar player, he Gene is a beast on the drums. Testament live is much better than even their studio albums.

Yep. You can't fake it live. I think their recordings are honest, not overly produced. Crisp sound. Skolnick could play an ukelele without amplification and still kill it!!

What an awesome bunch of dudes still having fun performing after all these years. And Skolnick's solos are incredibly spot on, while still adding his own unique twist to them.

It shouldnt have been called the big 4, it should have been called the big 5 with Testament on the bill. I dont care what anyone says these guys are LEGENDS. Practice what you preach is a classic. Alex is one of the all time best metal/thrash guitarists.

as usual, Alex shows he is world class, in the running for best ever guitarist in the world, BUT Eric shows he is right there with him, although not as "popular." Heck, from a lifelong fan, Eric may even be better IMHO. He is a monster if you pay attention. Either way, Testament, is world class and should be recognized as one of the top bands in the world.

Agreed. I personally think Eric Peterson is up there with Hetfield in terms of rhythm guitar skill, some of the best, crushing riffs in metal have come from Eric Peterson, and his leads are not bad at all.

They need to play more songs from The Gathering, such as Legions of the Dead.

Chuck is the best metal singers ever par none. I’ve been playing guitar for years and this band was hugely influential to me. Alex skolnick is amazing Eric Peterson is amazing but chuck is just amazing his voice can hit all kinds of different ranges and every range of his is great.

Saw these guys two weeks ago in Manchester and they were fuckin awesome... the energy is unreal. I’ve seen people make comments for the likes of Metallica slowing down because they’ve gotten “older” over time. These guys still lead the way in metal for me. 🤘 (big Metallica fan before I get hated on haha)

Arjan Snijder, objectively false. Kemper profiles sound as close to the analog version as possible. Check out Andy Sneaps AB tests if you even pretend to care about objectivity. Furthermore, the reason for this sounding crap, is because the audio's taken directly from the board and then streamed live. There's no post processing, no mixing. Just raw audio.

I saw them when nobody knew who they were back in the 80s and they opened up for Anthrax and Metalchurch at the Santa Monica civic.....and here they are kickin ass still....they are fn amazing.

Chuck is the best and most enthusiastic vocalist ever he's well cute in a non gay way how he air guitars bless him What a fuckin true guy more people in metal should be like this guy always a pleasure watching these guys play

I am pretty sure he can play anything you put in front of him. He's a top 5 (in my opinion) metal guitarist of all time.

Testament was one of the first bands I ever got into way back in The New Order era, and they're still going at such a high level. Very cool.

This set makes me want to get back into Testament again. I kind of fell off them after Formation of Damnation (amazing album btw). I didn't lose interest, I just got really busy in life and didn't have time to get into their new albums. I love Testament and I don't even know half these songs :(

Time after time, year after year and the Testament just becoming a better band. That's one of the best bands of trash metal. The riffs, the voice, everything. That's great!

Alex Skolnick! Awesome player!

Saw them with Judas Priest and Megadeth in Arco Arena , Ca. in 90's. Best concert ever. Badass!!!!

30 YEARS after THE 'Dynamo' gig, Testament still sound great, but I miss Greg and Louis sound, no disrespect to either Steve di Giorgio & Gene Hogan (respectively) but I'm a very 'old school' an and miss the Origional sound - Chuck sounds great, as do Alex & Eric - Rock on lads!

Cenot4ph Roorback, Dante XXI, Mediator, Machine messiah are all great albums. Yes Overkill are consistent too.

I find with comments like these, it depends on how young the person is< I came into thrash around 1983, so for me ALL the 1980-1990 Metal bands that still exist and gig, are THE consistent bands, and still sound great, just look & listen to Overkill and Annihilator for example :0)

I’ve recently gotten in to testament and they quickly became my favorite band I really wanna see them live because they sound great

I love Testament! Probably my favorite of the 80's thrash metal masters. It should be the big 5 to include them or perhaps the big 7 because Exodus and Death Angel are forces to reckon with. Alex is a true shredder and a guitar genius. All the members are incredibly talented, and for the singer, I would not like Testament if anyone ever took his place!!!

I have always felt Testament was the best from the 80's they dont really put out bad albums, and they all still rip despite pushing 60 years old.

August 3rd I'll being watching Slayer, Testament, Anthrax and Lamb of God. Can't wait! Excellent video btw

I saw them first taking Megadeth´s spot at the imfamous Monsters Of Rock - Festival 1988 in Schweinfurt, Germoney. And they still rule. One of the best Thrash, nuh, one of the best metal bands ever!
