I just got an 82zii and added the phil woods by drake. This set up absolutely blows me away. I haven't played alto in 15 years after switching to tenor mainly. Had I had this setup I probably would have never switched. My tone is super even, big open fat middle D, pure vibrant high notes that pop. I honestly didn't know I was capable of this before and I have been out of practice for a long time. People that say gear doesn't matter are people who fell into something good early on and didn't know it. I mean is sounds like a good mark VI. If you see Phil Woods interviews on the Z he says it is the best sax in the world regardless of sponsorship. You can say he is biased, but if you try the new Z you will realize he was right.

Hi..!! Could you help me by telling if your 82z has the G1 or the V1 neck?? Also, what reed do you use on that mouthpiece?

JJ are great - i personally went back to Meyer 7 M (or 8) HR using Fiberreed Carbon since 20 years now exclusively.

Greeting, just want to know is this one with or without the F# key? I’ve heard without the f# key, the horn sounds more vintage.
