Funny Car Chaos is a series of races sanctioned by the NHRA and this series of documentary films was recorded during the annual races at Amarillo Dragway. #NHRA #FunnyCars #DragRacing
The series also included vehicles from Amarillo and many states competing for honors in a number of different classes and a jet-powered dragster ran for an exhibition show in addition to the cars competing for national titles.

The altitude in Amarillo is about 3,600 feet above sea level so these high-powered machines need to be dialed into an atmosphere that is about 3,000 feet higher than the last place they were run for best performance.
Wow! One of the drivers almost lost it! It has been a long time since I have seen a wreck.
