The Yamaha YZ 125 has been a popular model for many years, as anyone can pick one up and have a blast riding it. A solid platform straight off the showroom floor, we decided to have Bill's Pipes go through the engine of the small-bore two-stroke in order to see what it's truly capable of. Jeff Springman ported and polished the cylinder, dropped in a high compression Wiseco single-ring race piston, over bored the carburetor, installed the new Moto Tassinari VForce4R reed block, and bolted on the Bill's Pipes MX2 expansion chamber and MX2 carbon fiber silencer combo.

I would take this YZ over any Ktm 125 SX and 150.

That pipes fucking awsome beutiful peice of work i havent seen a pro circuit lobster back pipe exept for the custom race team bikes that made the titanium lobster back pipes in the 90s work of art
It’s a nice bike. There are no “high compression pistons” for 2-strokes though, you race compression by different thickness of base gaskets or milling the head. Just figured I’d let you know, as a 2-stroke builder I cringed a little when I heard this. Other than that the bike really is super nice.

Also the size of the combustion chamber on an aftermarket head changes compression as well

@@sethwilz7626 yes... but saying “high compression piston” is false information and made him see like he didn’t know what he was talking about. High compression pistons is a 4-stroke thing.

It's not a cone pipe, it's a cone looking pipe. One could say it's a "fake", a copy or a knock off, not that it matters. Years ago they tested cone pipes against stamped pipes and found in most cases the stamped pipe out performed the cone pipe but didn't look as cool.
