Quadtrac the best forever!

I own 2 mt765d's. They are amazing tractor for the "tool carrier" applications we use them in. The operator had clearly never driven a 2 belt tractor before. He was making several rookie errors. The mt was also poorly spec'd. It should have had the steerable hitch option if this type of heavy draft work is to be done in the mud. That being said, I own a 485 steiger on 710 duals. We opted for it over the 505qt's the dealer really wanted to sell as the big tires will bite into frozen and hard soil in the fall much better than tracks. It will embarrass a track machine in the fall and has. Both quad tracks and challengers. Tracks are for floating, not traction. Run this same comparison in in the spring field cultivating and the outcome would be very different. Tracks aren't for everyone and they won't shine in all situations. As we wean our farm away from tillage into no-til tracks will dominate our farm. Our harvest operations are now done 100% on tracks.

The field test took place at the Top Farms field in the Czech Republic. Case IH Quadtrac is used on this farm, while the latter tool carrier was delivered for comparison from Top Farms in Poland, where it is borrowed for individual tasks. The aim was to check the differences of the two tool carriers in the same field with the same machine and under the same field conditions.

I agree not a fair comparison, but it has been proven again and again the quadtrac is the best tract tractor on the market.

soooo.........what is the difference in gross weight and force / sq ft on the ground..........If the challenger is spinning its tracks then its either not weighted properly or the implement is too large for it. aples and oranges comparison

Witam serdecznie!. Pragnął bym zapytać autora tego testu o jedno. Jaki jest sens porównywania mocniejszego o 100KM Case do Challengera??. Dziwna sprawa.... Przy takiej różnicy mocy to można stwierdzić, że mimo wszystko Challenger wypadł lepiej. Pozdrawiam.

Tak czy inaczej moglbym stwierdzić że gdyby oby dwie maszyny miały ten sam silnik to quadtrack i tak by wypadł lepiej ... Mniejsze spalanie, lepsze rozłożenie masy i 4 gąsienice a nie dwie

Spalanie?, po czym to wnioskujesz? bo chyba nie po tym teście. No właśnie to są kolejne "tylko"stwierdzenia. bez rzetelnego testu nie można mówić o rzetelnym porównaniu. Takie moje zdanie. Swoją drogą byłem na testach na Węgrzech w których Challenger bił Case na łeb na szyję. Także ja już nie wiem komu wierzyć. Pozdrawiam.

Miś Jogi Ok, nie twierdzę, że to nie prawda co piszesz, ale zadałem pytanie autorowi o sens tego testu bo moim zdaniem to zwykłe nabijanie ludzi w butelkę. Sam widziałem film w którym gość ma 3 Fendty 939 Vario i mu przy siewie rzepaku wychodzi 3.5l/ha.

+Rafał Pękal No widzisz a moim zdaniem to case pobił chellengera bo warunki były beznadziejne na pewno nie do miarodajnego testu , kierowca case jeździł troche głupio bo dawał w palnik i wiadać było jaki był poślizg w case a kierowca chellengera wolniej jezdził wydajność mniejsza ale poślizg był równiesz mniejszy wydawało mi się że wygra chellenger ale po wynikach widać że case bije chellengera i to bardzo bo pomimo dużego poślizgu spalił 5 l mniej na ha a to jest bardzo dużo , a jeśli chodzi o moc to co ma piernik do wiatraka case silniejszy ale i na godzine większy przepał ( te 100 kucy na wode nie idą tylko na wache nie?) a i tak się liczy przepał na ha a nie na h

Dziwny test. Traktory różnej klasy i w błocie. Oczywistym jest że wygra cięższy. Polecam casem obrabiać studzienki, słupy i rowy. To jest maszyna do australii i kanady, lub na ogromne pola. Cat z kolei to potężna moc we względnie małym opakowaniu. Własności trakcyjne + dobry operator, nie ma niczego lepszego. Mankament to zabójczo wysoka cena serwisu i części.

maroino79 robię na 620 i pola nawet po 3 ha i jest napewno zwrotniejszy i kołowych ciągników .a omijanie słowo i studzinek to kwestia wprawy . Ale i tak wolę cata mam sentyment do tych ciągników do orania I siania niema lepszego ciągnika

We performed the test at a customer who uses such and no other machines. The comparison was aimed at determining the differences in the use of this or that tool carrier.

... because such machines are used on this farm. The type of machines was not selectable.

Case 620 horsepower.cat MT CAT 865. challenger 550 horsepower.should be a MT CAT 875 Challeger 680 horsepower,What a bullshit comparison.,the quad trak case was'nt on the wet slippery bit of the field the challenger was,cat motor challenger is better by far,its a bias demo to suit case,the case was'nt trying to pull the machine with the depth wheels off the ground.like the driver of the challenger was.it was just a bias demo to suit case,.

I see your comments but its funny. John deere is no where to be seen but yet you keep bringing them up. I guess thats what happens when your the biggest and best agriculture company

Case mounts Iveco truck engine. 12.9L Bore 135mm Stroke 150mm. The engines dry weight is 1000kg. Cghallenger mounts Caterpillar heavy duty industrial engine and Cat powershift transmission ( tested hard work hours in scrapers and dozers). 15.2L Bore 137mm "STROKE 171mm". The engines dry weight is 1666kg. More steel than a truck engine, and largest stroke and crankshaft diameter offers more torque and better fuel compsuption. LOng stroke is less friction, less metal stress and less thermal energy losses (large ship engines use long stroke concept) . You are comparing a 500hp tractor with 620hp tractor, is very stupid, Compare with the 975 ballasted with c18 engine and 570hp. Cat fucks all tractors.
