Love your work Jonathan! Your attention to detail is off the charts! I love how you have repurposed different materials such as the chillowich. One of my favorites is the Icon visors.

Icon makes some amazing suspension stuff. Check them out. They have been around for quite a long time and are quality stuff.

I own an original 69 40 series so awesome to drive,I love it.Would like to own one of these with a 2JZ engine in it making an easy 600-800 hp,can drive it all day long, everyday and it would be all Toyota.

I think that would be a cool swap instead of doing the LS like everyone else. Staying brand correct. The turbo power might be a little tricky to manage offroad depending on how it is set up but if it is set towards torque not hp you should be good.

  • @erinconnelly7339

Bill El I agree with you, I know at that amount of hp they’re putting out way more torque then mine does stock but at a higher rpm,so if you’re just romping around in the mud & sand it would be good to go.

That FJ44 needs at least a 5-point harness on the front two seats. With that high of a stance, I would personally have a 5-point harness.

Toyota just needs to make a new FJ cruiser now that SUVs are red hot again and we aren't in a recession which happened during their last FJ. If Ford can bring out the Bronco, Toyota needs a new FJ!

  • @MrBillsfishin

The problem with Toyota is by the time the get a new FJ approved we will be in another recession because they are the slowest moving company around when it comes to design changes or new models. They take forever to make sure that the quality is there. Usually. I had a 2007 FJ Cruiser with a Walker Evan's reservoir coil over suspension upgrade and it was a blast. Put 200k on it before I got rid of it.

What a rich poser vehicle! This FJ44 is for the "I like old things, but I want to have every modern conveince" demographic. If you wanna see a true 4-wheel drive icon, i'll show you my 1981 Jeep CJ5.
