I wish you would get bandages after a face surgery just like TDU2 and wait like a day or two in game until you can do it again. I know it limits changing your appearance whenever you want, but the way i see it, small things like this make the game more realistic. I understand why they didn't do it though.

This is just the alpha stage, hopefully the add some finishing touches like : tire smoke when drifting, improved wheel animation, buying properties and custom dials or speedometer based on the car you drive.

Yup, my old pc is struggling bad. I'm not going to play the full game on pc but PS5 so I only wanted to get a little feel for the game given there's no demo on PS5. Was a bit of a weird experience to say the least.

It’s hilarious that the only thing people care about in racing games are the graphics. Honestly, this game looks fantastic considering it isn’t a AAA title. And assuming this is anything like the first 2 TDU games, we should get stuff like cops, motorcycles, houses, car wash, and the ability to give passengers rides in our cars etc. TDU is more about the gameplay than it is graphics, and personally i enjoy that way more than just some eye candy. I’m looking forward to this game.

you're right, the problem is that currently there is practically no feature you mentioned and which is an inherent element of the TDU series... stylistically, the game reminds me of the first part of The Crew with a touch of Motorfest. clothes shops, barbers, clinics are all bullshit in my opinion, you don't feel the atmosphere when you enter a luxury clothes shop, you have a white menu like in any other game like Horizon or The crew... it's sad

​@@garrettscott827 I played the game on high settings the graphics are fine. Sure it's a bit outdated compared to the latest and greatest but it's also open world and simulation. The physics seem more sophisticated than something like Forza horizon 5. Speaking of that game, I don't think the graphics are much worse than FH5.

I don't mind if it looks dated. TDU 2 and Driver SF came out the same year, and TDU 2 already looked dated in comparison. It didn't remove the fun I had playing it. I'm not saying Driver was bad, on the contrary. I really enjoyed both games for what they offered in terms of gameplay. I give more importance physics when it comes to racing games, and from what I tested in the demo, TDU SC feels pretty nice to drive.

I see more loading screens than gameplay in most videos I've been watching of this game, sadly that's one down side of it always being online.

What wheel do have????

This game's gameplay is really good, coming from games like forza horizon 5 and motosport. I actually prefer it from these. BUT the graphics are just ok, but the lighting is horrendous. It looks like a ps4 game but a bit better. But the breaking point for me is that the optimization is absolutely HORRIFIC for what graphics you are getting. If the non demo game gets the same performance as the demo, I am not getting it. It's such a shame, because I love it's gameplay so far. I am getting 38-50fps on max settings with dlss3 at 2k resolution and 120-165fps on forza horizon 5 and 70-90fps on motosport with a rtx 4070 gpu and a ryzen 7 5700x cpu.

Yep. Tried restarting numerous times, including my whole machine and I deleted the DUMMY.DAT file that someone in the forum recommended. Still no joy. Even if you get by that, apparently others are having login issues. It doesn't look good for the full game if they can't even get the demo right.

@@crazyarsik Yeah but when you hit double figures for restarts, you have to wonder if it's really worth wasting any more time. It's good that it worked for you but for others it isn't. For curiousity, how long was the load time when it worked? I've seen the background screens repeat 3 or 4 times but still nothing.

7 million+ people in HK and not a single pedestrian on the street. Barely any traffic, hopefully they fix this.

It'll feel good to play Tdu again after so much time. Tdu name deserves a wealthy publisher though. We dont want them get bankrupt at some point and have a second Tdu 2 fail you know.

One thing that bugs me is the brake lights on all cars having a fade animation when on many cars, they should turn on and off instantly.

The on/off instantly should only be the case for LEDs light. Horizon made the opposite and all cars have the On/Off lights instantly, wich isn't better honestly.

Looks so rough, needs at least another 12 months dev time imo...it's clearly not ready for release.

No. However Hybrid cars have their battery depleting over-time as you drive. When the battery is empty, your car lose part of it's power.

GR says this is a different game but whats unique about it? NFS has customization and police, Forza Horizon has a huge car list and diverse map, what does TDU have that they don’t? Blinkers and rolling the windows down? It doesn’t do anything differently. Previous ones had properties which was unique. Business 101 is your product has to be unique or better than the competitors in some way. This just feels like a bare bones version of the competitors.

What’s the point of making a 1:1 version of Hong Kong has barely any traffic and no pedestrians? It looks like a ghost town. Also, how is it a lifestyle game with no lifestyle features? My fps is so bad. First time i set everything max graphics. Everything was fine and smooth, then its been 2days since i've been playing and even when turning everything to low, it feels like i hav3e 10fps at most 😐 am on pc with a rtx 2060 on a 240hz monitor and a 5.2ghz i7 7700k pc
