I thought the same thing and when I saw the VIN its marked as a p73 which I believe were fleet vehicles (taxis, limos). But yeah, I started to question it when I saw the single exhaust and no 140 mph speedo as well

Not a police interceptor. It's an LX with lights and siren added. It does not have the 140 speedo or duel exhaust. Has the p74 package not p71.

Loved that car! Ran great, lots of power. It’s got brand new brakes and rotors all the way around. And the best part, people will move out of your way on the road 👌

Not P71 I have a 2005 p71 FYI Ford had a Recall for headlight control module on that model any ford dealer free replace on recall it’s a $200 part just a fyi if not done

Love the 4.6 motor. that thing is clean.

Mine is an 06 w 236k. And it runs great. The 4.6 is solid once you replace the problematic intake manifold. These are dependable and durable. Yeah they don't do great on gas maybe 15-18 or so.

UO 22- I was under the impression the intake manifold was not a problem for the 03 and up?

On the green custome camaro,the noise you were hearing is the traction bars.they are prone to have play in them with age.motor and trans are strong.nice ride,easy fix.

I have a 97 LX and a 2010 P71 (ex-police). The old 97 has been awesome the 13 years I have had it with very little in repairs needed. The 2010 has been just as reliable. The CV's have always been a reliable vehicle. It also depends on how you drive it too. Treat it with it respect (as with most vehicles) and it'll last. I used to have an 85 CV but eventually let it go several years ago. It was an awesome ride. Could barely feel a pot in that one. That being said, the one you test drove will sell quickly, especially to those who know these vehicles.

A civilian model Crown Vic. I wish I could get my hands on it, right now, especially since my 1989 LX was stolen by my father...

The small round hole on the dashboard trim over glovebox is for the passenger side airbag light. The light unit in this car is either missing or not plugged in properly. That possibly could be why the airbag light on the instrument panel kept fashing. Good car. The interior was really nice and fairly clean for a former police car. Good video.

Never a real squad, missing key elements.

Johnny, speedometer should have "certified calabriation", dome light not correct one, trunk button under radio. I think this was used for wide loads for semis. Didn't watch full video to see if it had dual exhaust.

Has to have p71 in the vin. Gauge is not certified. No tac. No buckets seats. They don’t wire the lights in the truck like that🤣 I didn’t see if it had carpet but it’s not supposed to have it if it’s a p71.

It's got a cop motor, a 440 cubic inch plant, it's got cop tires, cop suspension, cop shocks. It's a model made before catalytic converters so it'll run good on regular gas.

I don't believe its an actual police car as the speedometer only goes to 120. All I've seen on ex police is 140 mph speedometer. I'm interested if it is not ex police.

We have 1 same yr , was obviously a cop car THEN a nyc cab the ONLY THING other than oil changes and tires were all that’s been changed car is a bulletproof tank!!!!! My only wish is it could talk cause I know it has stories!!! We now have over 315k miles on it

I just scored a 2004 LX Sport. 97,000 original miles from the original owner. Never even knew this model existed it was actually Ford's attempt to go against the BMWs and Mercedes back then. Has sport turned suspension. Rides and handles like no other Crown Vic five spoke aluminum rims and most shocking of all leather bucket seats and a shift mounted console 😏

I had too crown vics p71 a 2001 all black and a 2003 all white fun car for dude in his early 20s

I didn’t see the exhaust but it should say p71 on the vin. I work for a police department and I can tell you they don’t wire the back lights like that and the switch for the lights aren’t right. It’s still a clean Vic.

@@dereknav400 Yes sir I agree I've never seen a police car with wood grain trim either. But I will say Our police department in Clinch County Georgia had a few regular Crown vicks they converted to police cars Because of budget cuts. Maybe that's what happened with this car.

I like the luxury version of these…the Lincoln town car. I shoulda bought one instead of the Cadillac Deville I had. Blown head gaskets at 120k miles. The GM Northstar engine was junk. The Ford 4.6 in these and the Lincoln’s are bulletproof
