Wow, about 350,000 miles and it still runs and drives good. Buy it and drive it until it gives out, and then replace the engine and transmission and drive it another 400,000 or 500,000 miles. I would say it is worth every penny of $6,950.

This trucks probably got a new motor and tranny already. Looks like steering wheel doesn't even have 100,000 miles on it either! I'd like to get a look at the brake pedal. Pretty nice truck, our tour guide was on his game today too very vocal..LOL

Reline those brakes and it'll go another 350. 88 to 98 notorious for unexpected brake line failure.

I just recently bought a 1997 extended cab 3 door silverado 4x4 215,000 miles no rust, power seats, highback bucket seats, and to many accessories to list runs great and everything works except for the air-conditioning for 6,000 dollars. The color is Dark toreador metallic (Dark Red) over ultra silver metallic and so far I couldn't be happier. GM fan all my life (59 years young)

I have almost the same truck 97 GMC Z71 352, 000 miles they're great trucks would never sell mine 🍀get R done😎✌️

I got a 99 the wrap around front end and it has 605,563 original motor and transmission

I have seen those pickups with reasonable maintenance run four to five hundred thousand miles. Then you either rebuild the motor or put a new GM crate motor in it.

Used to work for a man in Ohio that had one of those 1500s super high miles he said same thing best vehicle he ever had. Never any problems except normal brakes oil changes

I always thought that model year in the late 90's was better looking than the F150👌

@Joseph Watson I'm not saying the F150 wasn't awesome cause it was. It's just that model of Chevy pickup was just better looking. It's probably why they sold so many of them and you still see a crap load of them still on the road🤷‍♂️

I had a 96 that had 375k when I traded it in I still see it around town wish I would have kept it

Good old truck for the money. Replace the windshield and headliner you have a good truck

I have always had a love for transportation started my career transporting cars to auction when I was 15 in 1979. Drove some beautiful cars and transported a lot of contraband .

If you really liked that particular model like i did its a good deal, if you drive it right and don’t dog it it’ll be a good buy.

Truck looks amazing. Got a 96 3500 on air bags. Pulls our race trailer like a boss

Great Trucks. Owned 92 back in the Day. Just picked up 97 K1500 Shorted 89 k orginal miles. I sold my 2020 GMC ELEVATION. Nice Truck but I like those Older Trucks. They look great. There Simple. Without all Computers ect. I feel the 400 were the last Golden Era Pickup Trucks from GM. Mileage even at 300k. She 's still a good old girl. Put a Crate in it. Your still ahead of the game. There great Trucks. Those Trucks are Sought after. Like the Old Box Trucks but Modernized.

Very clean Obs Z71 with almost 400,000 been awhile since seen pickup truck with bedrails sounds nice with flowmaster exhaust only problem not in my driveway.

Nice, but I went to west Pennsylvania and paid $5000 for a Maryland 1997 that was in much better shape. Evereyone wanted to low ball him, he was Firm. Made the call to hold the truck, and it is mine to this day. Love my !997!!!!!
