I bet it's been more than a "few years" since you could get one THIS clean for 7k. Time goes by quick it seems, the older you get, the quicker it goes. It's probably been 20 yrs or better since ones this clean went for 7k. ;)

I love how he points out all the flaws on these cars you are a great honest dealer I was going to hit a Dodge Ram 3500 quad cab at my local dealership one time I called and asked if it had anything wrong with it including rust etc they said no I drove 1 and 30 minutes to get there and the whole back of the cab was big enough I could put my fist through it

Nice truck very clean sounds good. Good price quick seller some of those camper specials had duel gas tanks.

Far better transmissions have been built by Ford since the C6. It was good, yes but they were power hogs, no locking converter and no overdrive. Dino trans. Hard to keep cool too. Needed good trans coolers. Good for their time. Not so good today. I've still got one behind a 429.

@@Warrior_Resisting_Colonialism well sonny, no offence, but i say this after a 45 year professional transmission rebuilding Career. forgive me but i do know a little something about the subject. i have rebuilt thousands of transmissions, and nothing is better than a C6, FMX, turbo 400, and a TF8 new does not mean improved. and a C6 is no harder to cool than anything else,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

@@olskool3967 Well sonny, you're still incorrect. There are far superior transmissions built by ford today, than the dinosaur C6. Yes, newer does in fact mean better. The C6 is a 3 speed trans with no overdrive. It also has no locking torque converter. How the hell can you call the "best"? If you said one of the strongest, you could be correct but it's simply not possible to be the best when it only has a 1:1 final drive ratio and a converter that doesn't lock. You are also incorrect in that a trans with a locking converter cools WAY better than an old trans with open converter. You're just wrong. That's all there is to it. I've rebuilt a C6 trans too. You're far from being alone. That doesn't mean it's the best trans. It's a very strong trans but it's power hungry, robbing performance and it's outdated. There are FAR superior transmissions built by Ford these days.

@@Warrior_Resisting_Colonialism so sonny, you built "a C6 transmission" LOL! in 45 years i have built 100s of them! i am too old and tried to explain to you how many ways you are foolish and wrong and have not a clue! C6 transmissions came out in 1966, they are still going strong! just like the cars and trucks they were designed for are still going strong. i will be dead in 30 years for sure. but check and see if the new and improved cars and their transmissions are still around, i bet not. i have a friend who in 1987 built a 66 mustang, then i built a C4 for him. it still works perfectly today! (Where were you in 87?) try that with your CVT transmissions see how that works out for you! just about every new one that comes on the market today is junk! recall after recall! you do not know what you are talking about, stick to back yard work, sonny,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

1979 was the last year for those sixth gen Ford F-series pickups & second gen Ford Broncos.

That truck brought back a lot of memories. My 79 250 was white and brown. My camper special had 2 fuel tanks.

Real nice old truck. That green though. The starter is dragging. Either weak battery, cables and or starter. Seems to be worth every penny. I'd be surprised if this one doesn't sell quick.

A friend of my dad had one back in '79 that he bought new and he special ordered it but they painted it wrong, being the dark green was the base color with the light green on the sides and top. He still bought it anyway. I bet he had a r see truck and didn't even know it back then?

I dont think this is a camper special Nick. CS were one ton trucks but not dually and they were born with the big mirrors....you know, to haul campers with. Many of them had tool boxes in the bed, down low just in front of the rear wheel on the passenger side. I had a 71 250 CS, 390, C6. Best frikkin truck ever made. I hauled 3000lbs in the bed with 12000 more behind me. Truck wanted to burn rubber. A friend painted it battleship grey for me with real battleship epoxy based paint. The Battleship. Baddass.

460. She'll get 8 mpg. 10 mpg downhill with the wind blowing. But who cares? She's just a toy now.

We had 78 F250 4x4 with the 400 2brl carb on the farm. It MIGHT have gotten 10mpg going downhill.

the only thing I don't like about this truck is the tiny mirrors on the doors, they look like they came off a mustang 2. I had a 1990 F150 and I put '95 Bronco (full size) mirrors on it, it looked great.

Ford truck's of that era were pretty good truck's.

I've got 2 ford made pickup campers designed for those trucks if anyone is interested

Folks.. We seem to be in a economic downturn. Prices may drop even on classics. Food & shelter are top priority for living. However this truck could be used for barter.

FAIR PRICE !?!? It's FORTY THREE YEARS OLD ! A FAIR PRICE would be in the neighborhood of $ 2500.00 .. unless you're a FOOL
