My next door neighbor traded his 63 split window in on a big block 71 roadster hard top convertible he paid me 5 dollars to help him wash it and put the rag top on it the first weekend he had it I loved his vettes.

Memories are great. I was very fortunate at the age of 24, to own this year with black interior and no luggage rack. Had it for 10 years. WOW. Thank you Chevrolet for a very special time in my life

Yes, need to be careful of frame rust also.

Shouldn't the idle be around 700-750?

Good looking Corvette. I wish when you were videoing the driver's door panel, wish you would have zoomed in on the production date on the door jamb. Just like to see what month, & the year, the car was made.

Gotta be careful about pulling out those buzzers. I had a 72 LeMans. Snaked my hand up under the dash, found thr buzzer, and managed to pull it from its mount. No more buzz !! Also, no horn. Seems it was also a horn relay. I had to contort my hand back up there, and plug it back in. It had a odd pin layout, and was hard to plug back in.

$6,000 in 1972 is worth $41,956.36 today. I'd bet odometer is accurate, since the horn works lol

They all had 4 wheel disc brakes looks too good for 188 thousand really nice.

1972 Huge General Motors UAW strike that year. Lasted 174 days.

Look at the Frame C3 is known for frame rusting out.

That’s an original GM color in 1972 and 1973. Elkhart Green is the color.

I bet they didn't paint many in that color on a vette, unrestored is worth way more then any restored car, saw a collector back around 1994 looking at a nice vette,it had been repainted and the buyer walked away not wanting.

​@@kravenfoxbodies2479 Elkhart Green was the second most popular Corvette color in 1972 with 4,200 built, most popular was Ontario Orange, another wild color. This was the 70's after all. 🤐

I'm pretty sure that is the spare tire carrier. Those should be easily replaced with a reproduction piece. Has been a long time since I was under a 72 Vette.

You should add a game of will the car hit your light and camera. Lol. That was close

I was a kid when this model hit the streets. My mother used to think they were funny looking. I thought they were the hottest cars around. Still do. C3s beat anything in styling then and now.

Most important thing to demonstrate before you drive the car is opening the radiator cap and showing the coolant color and quality followed by checking oil color and quality, otherwise you just eliminate a whole population of serious buyers.
