I owned this exact car in high school and I could get 9 people in it with the top down. It was a great car and I got mine used in 1976 for right at 400 bucks. The top was in bad shape such that the owner had kept a tarp on it for several years but it had been garage kept. My dad, being cheap, glued a piece of tarp over the holes in the top which had been caused by a falling tree limb when the car was outside during a bad thunderstorm. It ran great and had no rust. I drove mine most of the time with the top down and while mine was not red, it got plenty of looks around town. When I finally got married in 1978, I decided I wanted something newer and my dad bought it from me for the same 400 bucks I spent and then he restored it over about 2 years. He sold it to a collector for almost 20K way back in the early 80s. Great car. I wish I had kept it.
My first car (1970) was a 66 Tempest Custom 2Dr. Post. 326 and 3spd on the floor with a bench seat! Was a fool for getting rid of it!
Really sweet Poncho. All it lacks is Barbara Eden in the passenger seat. Good price for a ragtop in such great shape.
My dad bought a 66 GTO brand new. Most of them were Rode hard and put away wet! This car was pampered!
Hey Nick, today is Friday you got any hot rod beast today, thanks Flex
I'm saving up my money i see u always got what l like!!!😎😎😎😎
Very beautiful amazing car thanks Nick have a very nice day mate
Maple Motors should invest in a lift

Absolutely, I always wondered if they took the undercarriage into consideration when pricing the vehicles.

@@VnnDgd They do, that's why this one is actually relatively cheap. It's rusty

Right I wish , city of hendersonville would make us put greenways all through the lot. Lift would go out in a week we would need 10 lol
A nice honest car, and even has the original hubcaps. I figured the horn would work because the car doesn’t look like it’s been messed with. Very nice, and you probably don’t see many of these that have been left as Tempests.
I like it a lot! 😁
Beautiful cruiser!
Beautiful 65 lemans very clean. Worth the price IAM glad that it's been kept original.

Same here. I’m tired of gto clones 😩
What a beauty 😍
The only thing I would change on that ragtop would be thinner whitewalls or maybe even red wall tires.

Have to get rid of the 2 speed slushbox...
She's a beauty! I always vote yes on Pontiac horns with factory wheel.
Please tell me that you are doing a video for that 76 Monte Carlo ???
That's a nice ride.

Absolutely beautiful '66 Pontiac!!👍👍🇺🇸🇺🇸
All in all what a really pretty car great Survivor
Very dope
Always loved the Tempest!!
Great ride.... Take it to Church on Sundays and then head to the Blue Ridge Parkway......Nice....
Now there a nice unmolested classic Tempest 👌 !!!
👍👍👍
SUPER
needs to much work for the price great for a long time investment if bought a right price needs at least ten to fifteen grand worth

Sorry but you ain’t gonna get anything running for ten grand these days man. Classic car market and the inflation right now are causing these prices to skyrocket. This is actually a bargain

@@Nebulasecura By the time you get this car sorted you'll have $40K in it. It will still be a Tempest with no buckets, console or power windows. For $15000 more you can get a decent GTO. Of course, If you don't have $15 more and want to fix the Tempest up over time, go for it.

Think he meant you'd have to spend at least $10-15k to get the car right.Thats why he said if you bought it right $10-15k gets it where you'd want it.Nice car though ive have 67 Lemans 2 spd 326 buckets car and its Champane Gold with black interior.Great driving cars surprised me how nice of a ride.
Beautyfull pontiac, thats what i call realy good 🎶 music, thanks Nick great video stay cool 😎 😎 😊 cool car 🤟
Love this 66 Pontiac but those tail lights need improving.
Really nice Pontiac 👍 👍 👍 👍
I grew up mostly on Ford but that's one of the coolest cars I've seen in a long time, and that motor sounds so sweet

Looks like 'corporate blue' engine paint instead of Pontiac silver blue...
Everything under is wet...trans and oil pan dripping....Nice project car !!....too much money for a project car.
Nice solid beauty. Top actuation is impressive for 1966. A little wet underneath.

Very nice ride and a convertible 👍
Pontiac horns always work, LOL

True, I thought it would work my father had a 66 Tempest it is the button design, early GM steering wheels good quality stuff
Looks a heck like a GTO...
Wud love to have this one...
Nice car, excellent driver, red interior huge plus....Rust bubbles..:( bondo popping through....too bad.....I'm very supportive of Nick & his cars.... as most are drivers...This would be a nice one ,if you can live with the poor prep work, prior to paint.........
Hey Nick, you ever use one of them go pro cams you can magnetically stick on the car? They use them in races to show what the suspension does during races. Also put on the hood of the car that gives you a POV ride! Know what I mean? Just an idea...✌😎
Beautiful 🤩
You guys do realize if you did some basic mechanics, kick down not hooked , wipers mabey A.C. hooked up, you could get a couple of G'extra??

Yes thats why multiple car lots buy our vehicles daily
Kind of a stretched-out GTO and you could smuggle in a big family from Mexico inside that trunk

Same body as the GTO. Same size.
Oh how I wish it was a 1966 Grand Prix with spider mages
Had a 67 .looks like an oil problem
she looks to have a turbo 350 transmission, totally incorrect for 66, they didn't come out until 69, this car would have had a 2sp. turbo 300
@BuzzLOLOL
Жыл бұрын
200-4R 4 speed auto would be more 'correct' for me...
Did he say anything about the gauges do they all work
Slobbering !!! 💯😍💯
pretty nice undercarriage not so nice very wet gonna need some work
Going to buy a car from you soon. I am in LA and that's a beautiful car, but this is a boat.
Almost a gto well never tell close enough for anyone it's a ride that doesn't apologise.
Now that will make someone a great cruiser for a great price!! 👍👍
No the horn doesn't work
