This looks like exactly my kind of game! I'm going to wait a few days until I hear it's patched the frame rate issue though. Thank you guys for another great review!

Thanks for the review. That one hit is a deal breaker, looks amazing fun outside that. Definitely a game for the wish list and watch for an all patched up update that might add the shield to more sections 😊 great review

I was so excited to give this a try sometime, but I think the one hit k.o. thing is a dealbreaker for me. I struggle with platformers as it is, I do not need that additional stress 🫠 Still looks like a great game though, especially after some TLC as you say. Thanks for the review!

I hear you, but at the same time, there's basically no penalty for death as you quickly restart at the place you were just before you met your demise. So you can just keep trying. I know that turns some people off, I think for me I like it because I'm so old that I remember limited continues and actual game overs that led to restarting the game from the beginning!

I love learning about a game series when it's the second or third one in. This looks very nice, and now I want to learn about the first game.

I really enjoyed this. I was playing on PC so I never had any performance issues. My only complaint was the storytelling. The first Teslagrad was very good letting the background details and the few cutscenes tell the story. With this one, at the end I was scratching my head at some of the details.

I thought this one looked beautiful in the Indie Direct. But will definitely be waiting for a patch + a sale, because my backlog is already gigantic, and the Megaman Battle Network Collection and Pokemon are already taking all of my gaming time. Thanks Switchup!

That was the most enjoyable review I have watched in quite a while. I will be picking this up. The problem is do I do so to encourage a developer that has tried something different and created something beautiful but flawed or do I show my frustration and pick it up after it’s patched… ? As if they will even know or care what i think? I should know better and just act on impulse

I've heard some people actually contact devs directly with their issues (while being respectful of course) and were quite successful with that. Especially with indie devs there might be a good chance that they take into account such feedback.

I try to imagine when I used to buy games on PSone and xbox, if the game had been buggy or missing stuff i would have asked for a refund.

Oh we care for sure. Not happy with the performance in some parts of the game ourself so it'll be patched once the necessary fixes are in order

I need to pick up the first one, this looks really beautiful though so defo want to play. Picked up Strayed Lights this morning, be interested to see what you guys make of that game.

Going to try and get a bit further on with the first game and wait for the patch on this one. I love puzzle platformers and the art style and audio look really great.

Really wish these games had easy modes. I just don't have time anymore to try hard games. Just wanna relax after work and play some games.

I really wish games would release in a complete state these days. I understand that game development isn't easy but some issues should be addressed before release. Buggy games can end up getting lost in the week releases of other games. Most people will just wait for a patch and may end up forgetting about certain games.

One hit K.O seems like a recipe for me wanting launch my switch!!

This made me grab Teslagrad 1 remaster and man I'm having a good time

Jinkies! I wrote an essay on the last video of yours and I don’t want you to get stalker vibes boys lol But, I loved the PS3 original and seeing that visually remastered with the beautiful art style of the sequel? Im well in for eight and half quid. But the sequel, listening to you talk and knowing you re well good at these 2D action games makes me think, “actually I’ll just play the OG on my ps3, allow the remaster and not even try the much harder sequel in case it ruins the franchise. But Damn both games are beautiful.

I would have preferred the same character as the first but just a small nit pick. Loved the firt game and played and got the platinum so hopefully this is just as good.

I reckon around 85/86% - the issues I mentioned in gameplay would definitely be better but still not entirely fixed. It’s decent for sure I’m going to 100% it if I can. Mark

Im out of the loop. None of the KZread channels i watch have covered or even mentioned this indie direct. Did it really happen? Can i see it anywhere? Help me.

From what I’ve seen, i absolutely love everything about this game. I think that hard precision platforming might end up with me putting it down in frustration, similar to what happened with Hollow Knight. However, like Hollow Knight, I think when the gameplay just clicks the game will play like a dream. I’m curious as to the original Teslagrad, is this more of the same?

I didn't get past the first boss of the first game. It was a big difficulty spike with the insta death mechanic. Sounds like this has the same flaw.

I really want to get this game but I think I will wait for your all patched up episode on this game just like I did baldo. So looking forward to when it’s patched up

I played the first game got near the end but stopped. I like the zapping around, graphics and sound are good but I know the physics sections are going to irritate me. One for the wishlist.

So it sounds like as great as the game is it's a unfortunate wait for a patch to pick up.

I played the demo and it was quite nerve racking having to constantly be on the run from enemies chasing you and one kit K.O.-ing you. It’s a beautiful game though.

Its a bit like the Ori games, you get hit, you die LOL. 😂😂

Love the look of this but as a older gamer cough going tbh my reactions and skill have defo dropped as i age so I wish that a story mode was offered. Hate to say this but not a lot I can do about old father time. So plz devs have a thought for older gamers once in a while.

1 hit deaths seems remarkably unfair for what seems like a twitchesque platformer. Think that's going to hold it back for me quite a bit

So I guess every single switch game released from here on out is going to suffer some kind of frame rate issue? It's almost like we should expect the worst and be pleasantly surprised when there is ONE game released without frame rate issues. I do agree though with what some others here have said... "games simply should not release in such poor quality states." With all of that said... Please God oh God let the patch for this game fix this horrendous skipping issue?! Because this game is my kind of game, a beautiful 2d puzzle platformer that has brilliant game/level/puzzle design.

Punishing one hit death platforming? I already have Celeste with like twenty minutes of game play time because I couldn't progress more than a short way.

One hit and died, thats frustrating. Might start chewing on joycons again

Glad I didn't buy the double bundle as the art looked nice. But yuck hit 1 thing die, then just play other games like meat boy. No thanks for me.

Was about to pull the trigger but I went to look up a review. Saw the comments say 1HKO and nah I’m out. I don’t have a lot time to game with a baby on the way so that’s disappointing
