We have just completed a similar project using the same 7910 platform x2 and Tesla V100 GPU cards with the help of CTO. Exceptional server performance and superb support from these guys. 👍

really high performance.... it is hardware from 2016... a single 7950X is faster than dual 2690v4 and those p100 are reeeaaally slow compared to a single A30 or even an A5000

Depending on your application , for what our clients use these for and the price per performance , they are really good.

Sometimes is not about raw performance. If these machines are configured with 512 GB of RAM it's because it's going to be used... And I don't think it's even possible to have a reasonably priced 256 GB of RAM 7xxx system.
