Tesla Roadster 2.5 Sport 2010 Car Review & Test Drive

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

The Tesla Roadster needs no introduction-it is simply known as "the electric supercar."
The car's performance (0-60mph) and pricetag ($158,000) are familiar supercar territory, but the fact that it costs around $4 to 'fill up' puts it all alone for the moment. Right now, there's nothing in its segment or any other that can compare to this car
Visit roadflytv.com for more pictures and a downloadable window sticker.

    What a shame that no one is responding to this video any more. I saw it in 2011 and thought to myself, meh just another toy car. Boy look at the world now! And whoever bought Tesla shares back then following Emme's review would've now been happily retired.

    @Bravo21 Top Gear didn't test it so much as they wrote an episode where it "breaks down" twice. A month or two back Tesla filed a lawsuit against the BBC for their false portrayal of the car. I'm not saying that this is the best car out there, but I will stand by Tesla in saying that their car was not given a fair chance.

    Would be the perfect solution if not for the price (more than 80000€), the charging time (from nothing is 3&1/2 hours) or motor life expected (7 years) I guess that the normal people would buy it if the price were on average 30000€, 45 minutes charging-time and at least 5 years warranty, that aim would make them sell much more cars & therefore earn much more money Any advice for that, the car doesn't have to look like a space ship or have the accelerating and speed of a F1, Just a normal car!

    $158,000?!! Why not spend that on a CTS-V and a ZR-1 Vette, and all the gas they'd ever burn? And save a fortune when you don't need to re-feed the battery compartment.

  • @DanFrederiksen
    @DanFrederiksen11 жыл бұрын

    it's too expensive and it has some problems but it's a glimmer of the devastating power that electric drive easily can be. what people don't get is that an electric car better than that can be done profitably for 20.000$ albeit a bit shorter range but more much efficient and as fast. the few producers just haven't taken full advantage of the potential yet. when the first one wakes up, it will be an explosion

    @Silverbulletzx3 Part of the issue with our current state of affairs is that fuel efficiency, and zero emissions is considered "Liberal". I don't get it.Unless you work in the oil industry i dont see how you could look at this car as a bad thing. This thing is awesome, and as soon as the price drops another 50k or so i'm getting one. @tripleheshy I'm not leftist at all. I'm more of a middle thinker with a right lean. However i believe in common sense. Please explain how fuel effeciency and or cost savings equal liberal. I currently drive a lifted crew-cab silverado. Sold a 6.0liter LS2 corvette to get it. If i could get the same performance of either of those vehicles for pennies on the dollar in fuel i'd be all over it. Anyone who disagrees simply because the "blue" party agrees needs to take a look at self.

    Do people here really not realize that carbon dioxide is a greenhouse gas and that it is what is harming the environment? Yes, electric cars do get their energy from power plants. And yes some of those power plants are coal and nuclear. Coal does in fact put more pollutants in the air than burning the same amount of gas. However, a coal power plant is FAR more efficient than an ICE. Also, not all electricity is from coal, so you also have to take that into account. Do research before you hate.
