Camping is underrated in a car. It's even a safety issue if you are deserted somewhere and need to sleep. Fossil users can't understand that it's basically a motorhome with heat pump and a big battery in it. Slept many times in an electric car and it's important for me to know how the car is to sleep. So, thanks for the reviews!

I find Bjorn’s camping segments very informative and useful. I own a Model 3 Performance; sleeping in it is just ok: the shelf and hump makes it less than ideal for car camping. Model Y looks to be very good! I probably shouldn’t be so fixated on whether a car is comfortable to camp in. Don’t know why. I don’t car camp often. I almost want to sell my Model 3 and go to Model Y for this reason.

My wife and I had to Camp in our IONIQ 28 kWh two days ago when our ferry was cancelled. Lost about 9 kWh in 12 hrs with 10C weather. It was pretty comfortable but Model Y would have been great. Other car campers were enquiring about our car 😀

This past summer I went on a 55-day trip and visited 27 national parks in the western part if the US. I stayed mostly in RV campgrounds and slept in my car while recharging during the night. I was by myself and divided the rear in two halves: one for my sleeping quarter and one for clothing and food. Despite the record high temperatures, the car hvac kept me cool (and warm on few rare occasions). Highly recommended if you're not too fussy.

Your videos are amazing. Lots of information and fantastic views of your country. You asked why you might be having issues with your insides after the food? I think it might be caused by old cooking fat at one of the places you ate. By the way having watched your video of the Fiat 500 La Prima, I am now the proud owner of a new 500 Icon in Rose Gold. Really impressed and the ride is very good on the smaller wheels 195/55/16 Continental. It would be interesting to see see how the Model Y behaves in the winter?

Dear Bjørn. I watch from Denmark and very much like your videos. I am considering ordering a Tesla Model Y but is wondering if phantom braking on auto pilot is still a significant problem for Tesla? I have seen some older videos where you complain about the issue. Have you experienced phantom braking on your long trips with the Model Y? (comments from other Tesla owners are also most welcome). Thanks in advance

  • @Der__Willi

My daughter had yesterday a phantom breaking in a 30km/h zone. Two people on the pedestrian, the road small and start to bend to the right. My guess the Model Y thought if the car would continue to turn right it could hit the people on the pedestrian . So if von have just the intention to follow the small road and you get stopped suddenly to 0 in 2 seconds you need some time to get it and guardian angels to prevent to get rear entered. But my girls still preferring the Model Y because of the space and because they are sitting a bit higher.

You can use a 1500w jackery with pass through charging that is constantly connected to the cigarette/12v connector in the Tesla. It will slow charge constantly and allow you to still run high power appliances, and you will have the 'buffer' of not having an inverter connected directly to the 12v (Tesla owners manual says not to use an inverter).

Do you wash your hands thoroughly right before you eat? Make sure you don't touch anything someone else has touched(like door handles at the restaurant, or card reader etc etc) before you eat? No snacks or drinks in the car that could be the cause? Also have you tested so you're not lactose intolerant or something? 🤔 I've never had a type 3 on a road trip, but then I'm very careful with touching stuff other people have touched. I use a paper napkin to open doors for example. I also make sure to eat food while it's warm, if it got cold it needs to be reheated properly(not sure that pizza got all the way up to at least 70C to kill all bacteria?)

Always. I wash my hands at least 20-30 times per day.

Burger or fish? Could be both. Without knowing what your usual diet is, it is difficult to say. You look like your health is better in general since you had Covid? Eating cleaner perhaps? In which case burgers and fish&chips are heavy, western meals that are tough on the digestive system. Blood has to be pumped to the gut to get this food processed. Could be that these foods are too much for your system now. They're also full of fibre, which on top of other fibrous meals will maybe tip your gut over the edge and cause an evacuation! Other than that I have noticed several unplanned discharges this year, could be something more sinister like colitis or coeliac disease (gluten intolerance - not so common in asian populations, less gluten in thai diets for example). Both meals were both glutinous and gluten-y. Good health TB. 👍
