The Easter Egg works all the time. I have since leased a 2020 Model S long range. I miss all the features that the X has and the S does not.

Where do I start. Let's start with the positive. The model S is very comfortable, the ride is much smoother than the 2016 X Performance, and it is so much more energy efficient and quiet. What I miss from the X is the ability to close doors from the drivers seat. I also did not get full self driving, and that took away a lot of the navigation features I was use too. Auto lane change, voice initiated directions (haven't been able to get that to work, if it has it), the Fronk is much smaller, the car sits lower and is not as easy to get in and out, I cannot get the USB drive to play my music like the X did, the radio lost some of its features because its not the premium sound. There are probably more, but in the long run, this car is less expensive, so I should have expected to lose some of the upgrades in the X. I hope this helps. BTW, I have no regrets getting the S. I just miss the premium features.

I believe they will never implement this because of safety reasons (in case it somehow gets tapped in the app and you’re away from your car, it’s open for people to steal). It’s also why we can’t close the doors from the app, in case a kid has their hand in a door or something. If the doors are open and you click lock on the app, all it will do is lock your car and the mirrors will fold, the doors stay open haha.
