Need to know more about the technically differences. Motors. Magnetic motors. Battery size. Range. Battery mgmt. Heat valve. Pump. Cold weather tolerance. For example when you mentioned 3 charges faster that was most interesting to me.

The Right scroll raises and lowers speed with cruise control, is is used for voice commands, and something else, I forget. Plus, with software updates, Tesla could add more features in the future.

Thanks for a good comparison review of Tesla Model S and Model 3, but here are a few corrections: The Model 3 has a key fob available now, but almost everyone uses the smartphone app to unlock and lock automatically, set things in the car remotely, etc. The Model 3 front trunk is designed to fit an airline carry on bag. All of the commonly used controls for actual driving are on steering wheel stalks or scroll wheels on the Model 3. The right stalk up and down selects gear and parking, controls autopilot engage and disengage. The right steering wheel scroll wheel controls voice input (press it), autopilot distance and speed (left-right, up-down). The left scroll wheel controls audio track and volume, etc. The left stalk button (push in towards steering wheel) is used to start the wiper washers manually if needed, and it brings up the wiper setting too. Most people set the wipers to automatic and use the left stalk button on rare occasions where the neural network vision system (which is constantly improving and learning) doesn't automatically start the windshield wipers. What this means is that in actual driving, there's seldom any need to remove hands from the steering wheel or use the touchscreen. The user interface design (including all controls, not just the screen) in all Teslas is excellent, and it's very easy to drive and use in Model 3. Model 3 is nearly 1,000 pounds lighter than Model S, is a much newer design and costs half as much. It's more agile, more efficient and a better car. Both share similar technology, aside from battery cells. That's why Model 3 was the best selling car in California Q1 2020, beating Honda Civic, Toyota Camry, Honda Accord, Toyota RAV4. It's also selling incredibly well in China and Europe. P.S. Model 3 has more rear headroom than Model S and about the same front headroom. Both easily fit 6 foot 3 inch and taller people.

Anyone know why the leasing option for the Model 3 isn't available on Tesla Canada website but financing (Loan) and Cash options are? Model S has leasing options too but that car is like 50% more expensive.

Hey, i have the model s and i recommend it and i recommend not chosing options except white leather u can do it 3rd party and if u do with tesla your tax goes crazy so for example get the carbon fiber spiler and interior third party

Do you live somewhere with snow? My concern would be the handles getting frozen to where they won’t come out.

This is random but good choice in background music. Some ppl go way too far with background music and it’s distracting. This was integrated smoothly

Wtf why is the model S so much more than the model 3?

Model S if you like straight line speed / more room / really a very sweet exterior. Model 3 if you like handling / more compact cars / want a Tesla but don't want to shell out too many shells. Once the refresh / PLAID comes out then two things will happen. One, the S and X are just going to crush. 2. Model 3 and Y will be given more power so they will be even faster.

YES! this man right here understands it. just model s exterior is perfect, but the interior i dislike the screen. the model 3 I really hate the T not being on a front grill bcause I really love that look.

Model 3 looks like a Aston Martin db9 had a offering with a Toyota Prius. Db9 is at least 10 times prettier than the model 3. Model S look pretty cool in comparisons with model 3

This is a basic thing to be impressed by but the lack of vents being integrated into a sharp seam in the dash and being able to control fan direction on a touch screen is absolutely amazing

hmm, part agree, only part of model s I prefer is the front grill

IMO the model 3 front trunk looks a little bigger than the model s. I am seeing this on a screen, tho. I would assume the larger vehicle would have a bigger trunk but I’ll trust you’d know given the fact you have a in person comparison.

Not anymore because the new HEPA filters take up a lot of room so they are indeed smaller now

man he compared them but he didn't really compare them at all. so.... why the fuck is the model s $35,000 more expensive?

I love the front end and interior on the model 3 but I just hate the shape of the car. The model 3 is also smaller, so I'll have to go model S even though the headlights and interior are uglier

S is the car the rich old man drives, 3 is the car the rich young man drives, atleast that’s how I view the body’s of the car, 3 is smaller and younger while S is more mature and larger

I am young, but Im going with the model s because it is bigger and im used to driving a truck. A used model S that is only 2-3 years old is around the same price as a brand new fully upgraded model 3. I personally like the S way more and I would be willing to get one a few years old over a new model 3

@@Mral236d The S will have worse performance, worse software support, slower charging, most likely will need the auto pilot computer upgraded, plus you’re getting used batteries, you’re better off with a new car whenever you’re buying any car, not just with Tesla, and as far as the comparison between the truck, they’re completely different, coming from somebody who’s driven all three a lot, a large car, a small car, and a pickup truck or 100% different, even the large car versus the pickup truck, they’re not even slightly similar, you need to drive it to truly see it, but just because you’re used to driving a bigger vehicle does not mean you’ll like a bigger car, sitting lower changes your perspective completely and the weight distribution is way lower and it’s just so different

@@Mral236d if you’re somebody who likes technology and hates going to the gas station I suggest you try to talk yourself into a model three, frankly if you’re not using your truck bed or the tall ride height then there’s very little reason for you to drive around the truck and you’re just pissing a lot of money away, maybe you should look at a model Y, that way you get the taller ride height closer to a SUV or truck
