Anyone had also problem with the time(settings)? I'm having the problem that the time is always 6-hours ahead. Doesn't matter what I configure, "cartime" or "androidtime". Within Android, tried all settings, regional time, manual etc. Got the time right, well next morning, when I get into the car, the time is "changed", 6-hours ahead. Does someone know the factory code/password for the "Factory settings"? Can't find it in the "manual". I asked the support of Hansshow, till now, still no answer from them.

@@stevensteven3425 I have slight different version but same issue of 6hr Ahead.. Here is what I did (not sure will be same as you have). On your rear entertainment unit, go to Vehicle Settings, More, System, Time and Date Options, turn off Auto Determine Time Zone and select the time zone of where you live.

@@yethandar I tried all. The next day, the time is 6h ahead again. I contacted the after-sales team and service, still no answer. Also asked for the "factory password". Very strange they did not wrote it in the manual, while the other screens (10.25") they wrote the "factory password" in the manual.

Another great install and video. Is it possible for you to do a comparison for all the ones that's been released? I'm sure there are application for when people would install either of all the ones you've reviewed.

Love the video! Question: I installed it and it works great. But, it seems like I can only get 3 clips to seat in the compartment. One just won’t go in all the way. What am I doing wrong?

Question: the Blue and white connector (you point it out at the 16.25 mark on this video) nowhere does it tell us which side goes in the lower connectory to the speakers. This connection on the back of screen seems to be easy but the bottom connection one side has plastic and the other side has metal so it appears that side is important? Do you know which side it should be inserted on? Mine was in plastic bag and I need to insert it.

I'm surprised all these companies have not made a full-on back seat display well integrated for the S and X as well. Now that the S and X have a small screen in the back, Make it really big on the back of the seat..

All I like about this is the auto screen brightness which my v3 doesn’t seem to have(correct me if I’m wrong! I’ve been looking for that). Other then that I find this to be a regression from the one I have, the UI especially.

Agreed! This display seems like one step forward (based on larger vents, built in speakers etc) but two steps backwards in terms of UI and installation. Thank you for watching my video.

I just got mines today! I noticed it’s always on even when I’m driving by myself. Is there a way to keep the display off when there’s no passengers in the backseat? No point of the display being on when there’s nobody in the backseat. Thank you!

they released this RIGHT AFTER I ordered the 7.2"version. I love the one I got but my son complains about the air flow in the back because its so constricted. I might have to upgrade.

I have a USB flash drive, is there a way to transfer movies to "local video"? That way passengers can watch movies without the need of wifi/hotspot while on a road trip? I'm trying to do it and rear screen won't recognize the USB. Am I doing something wrong?

Question, Is there a Module available which can stream all of these function to our personal tab? That would be super amazing, if there exists something like that? Of course Rear display is nice, but we are still sacrificing Air flow, also watching content or movies are not as comfortable as having tab mounted on rear seats at eye level or even on portable tab. Something like what Mercedes sells on their high end model

Hey Shiva have you tried connecting to your phone hotspot? I can connect it but it just drops the connection in about a minute. Have you tried plugging your phone into the usb port on the underside? I tried and my phone kept flickering “allow, deny” and screen flickers to the folders screen.

Did you unplug the 12v battery negative terminal before doing this?

First of all thx for the video tutorial appreciate your effort on showing how this to install. I did install today and found that the driver side seat adjustment doesn't work. How do you get it work?

Also, how do you get the USB connection work? I did try plug in my usb into the plug, the charing port and the mic area and it doesn't work.

Hello, I am happy to answer all questions and this is a great one! Unfortunately, iPhone casting is not supported on this display, it can only do Carplay/Android Auto but not casting. Thank you.

Can you turn down the speed of the ac without turning the screen turning down the fan speed in the entire car?

I'm not a fan of the air vents. And is there a way to stop or lock out all controls from the unit to the front of the car, like volume or fan speed? I just need something that controls the rear heated seats and that has entertainment for the kids.

Thanks Eric. Unfortunately, they didn't listen to our feedback from the previous iterations about the screen lock.

The unit does have 4G, you have your SIM card in the wrong way. The connectors on the sim card needs to be facing the seat or the rear of the car and it should be installed upside down. The flat part goes in first and the notched part toward the floor. Not sure why they did it like this but it was also like this in Generation 1

No sim card can be used?

Hey Shiva!! Nice video. I have been debating these rear control displays for a while. Since my kids are grown up I won’t use any of the fancy online stuff and really want my vents to be on their upper body. I think the v2 is the one that keeps the vents but is the bigger screen right? Or should I go from the OG little one just for seat heater and vent control. ?

Thanks Todd. I think V2 is your best bet with plug and play install and larger vents. The only downside is that it doesn't support bluetooth audio. The little screen with just climate and seat is pretty cool and has an awesome UI but you do have to transfer the airvent from the OEM unit.

Will this void the car warranty?

I noticed after locking the car the screen goes blank but there is a dim backlight that stays on for about 15 minutes. In the day it’s not that noticeable but at nights or in a garage it is. Has anyone else noticed this?

Regarding the speaker noise issue, I consulted the Chinese supplier directly, they told me that I need to do a software upgrade, they sent me the upgrade package, I will go to the car to try it later, and then let you know the result

Not sure where you’re located but I was told the GSM bands on the 4G antenna on the unit are only for Europe and Asia, not North America. Was hoping to add my SIM card to mine as well.

@@TopShelfTesla After testing, I can confirm that 4G is working and does not need a sim tray, because this screen uses a micro sim instead of a nano sim, the chip is facing up, the oblique cut is facing the left USB port, and then push it in. However, it should be noted that the ordinary SIM card in the phone is not acceptable, is required a special traffic SIM card like EIOTCLUB

Will this allow for factory updates to the Tesla firmware even though it’s using the front connector bypass?

Seems like Handsshow is pushing the 7.2 inch model. However if you search using 7.5 as your criteria you will find this model.

How can I buy this product ?

Is it possible to fit 2x hansshow canbus wires down there? Powertrunk and this screen and still close the plastic trim? Thanks

@@TheBosnianFamily Since you said Power Trunk, I am assuming your have a Model 3 and I have fit as many as 3 plugs in a 3 but the space gets tight for sure. Model Y, you can't even fit 2.

Hi, after I installed the unit I lost the power on both USB typeC port locate inside the front center console. Can anyone let me know what is going on? Thanks😢

Check the wiring to the usb-C board. If it is not connected properly, you will lose power to the front USB and wireless charger.
