Tesla FSD Price Plunges: $4,000 Cheaper, But Is It a Steal?

Tesla has once again lowered the price of its Full Self-Driving software by $4,000, now costing $8,000, down from a previous price of $12,000 in the US. $8K. But Tesla's FSD is still not so much affordable for many EV owners. It is still too much, at least for me. If it actually offered autonomous driving, it'd be different story. I am also thinking, soon something like FSD will be a free feature from Chinese EVs in the coming years. Anyway, Prices were also lowered in Canada, where the system used to cost $16,000CAD, and now costs $11,000CAD.

But Tesla has *higher* *costs* on other items: insurance registration replacing tires eventually, $20k USD for battery pack Tesla also depreciates very quickly after purchase.
Free FSD will NOT happen. But I agree, $8k is still too much where it is today.

It is still too much, but I don't know why free FSD won't happen say in 10 years.
I locked in 40 cybertruck tri motor orders with fsd at 10k. Now fsd is 8k? Well, I'm still holding the option to buy with fully refundable $100/unit, because by the time my cybertruck orders are in, fsd may be well over $100k or not offered at all.
How much does FSD from Baidu and Huawei currently costs in the Chinese robotaxis?

Good question: I don't currently have access to information on the specific pricing of Baidu and Huawei's self-driving technology in Chinese robotaxis.

@@Torquenews Ok. But is Tesla FSD way superior in tehcnology to Huawei and Baidu's FSD? If the advantage for Tesla is minimal, there's no way Tesla can keep the high prices for FSD.
