Tesla FSD 12.3.6 Gets Lost in Parking Lot.

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

I have only had to disengage twice in almost 1000 miles of Full Self Driving. Both disengagements occurred because the car got lost in a parking lot. This appears to be a navigation or map error as opposed to an FSD error.
TIMESTAMPS
00:00 FSD is engaged in the parking spot
00:45 That is not an exit
01:15 FSD passes by the exit
02:00 I disengage
02:10 I engage FSD in front of the exit
02:20 FSD drives out of the parking lot

Any high school kid can navigate a parking lot. Human brain plus human eyes make that a trivial challenge. FSD is still very primitive. Level 5 Full Autonomy is years away.

FSD navigates just fine. It looks like this is a map error. FSD is being told there is an exit that does not exist. The AI is fed data from navigation. This definitely needs to be looked into for robotaxi deployment.

You can blame 'map error' , but the FSD system was unable to *get* *the* *job* *done* . FSD continues to disappoint, after about 4 years in beta.

@@DerekDavis213@DerekDavis213 FSD does not disappoint me; I use it every day. It is, by far, the most advanced autonomous driving system on the market.

@@ericgregori FSD might be the most advanced system, but that ain't saying much. None of the systems are capable of full autonomy. And *nobody* wants to supervise a simple-minded Level 2 assistant that makes mistakes every day.
