I canceled my Cybertruck order when I got my email saying production was ready. I was in the 75kish line. They offered me the Foundation series but still I declined it. How do you raise the prices and dump the options. Nobody is buying these trucks for $250/350k.

It’s not illegal, NOT A LAW, it’s against the agreement with Tesla but avoidable if you offer it back to Tesla and then they decline. You can resell it.

You can sell it, just Tesla will level a $50K additional cost to you. This is done by many manufacturers who have high-demand, low-availabikty vehicles. Helps reduce scalping.

Msrp for this vehicle in America is 60990 for base model! It goes up for there! Ford, chevy, and dodge trucks all start at 50k and can reach 100k! So really in the wheel hiyse for trucks!

its been 4 months now, so you could offer some one for theirs and in 8 months take delivery or you can get in line and wait 4 years. how much money is out there....we will see

with about 500-600 Cybertrucks delivered to date; they are a rare commodity; but Tesla knew they would be so they required all buyers to sign an agreement not to sell inside of 1 year. But what if you needed the money? Can you really legally be inhibited from selling something if you own it? Can you sign away that right? Possibly but you probably can't - the follow up would be can the new Owner force Tesla to provide services - there is where a new owner wil be screwed.

Just for the record, it's not "illegal" to sell your cyber truck. That would mean it's against the law. You are free to sell it, you may be held for civil violations from Tesla if they find out about it.

Tesla should resell a gas powered generator for charging the cyber truck

I’m pretty sure they removed the no sale clause from the purchase agreement after pushback.

In a strange sequence, it was in the original agreement, then removed when the first 20 were picked up, then added back in. Tesla really doesn't want people scalping their cars. It's a quite common limitation on a high-demand low-avilablity vehicles from many companies.

More BAD reviews than good. Much more "Dissatisfied" customers compared to people that are happy with the purchase of their *CT* . People -love- like the steer by wire once they get used to it. Biggest complain is the *"Range"* ❕️

@@icosthop9998 From what I see it basically doesn't do anything that a traditional truck does nearly as well in terms of range etc but does things like accelerate hard which are hardly of much use in the real world. A couple of the big ticket items when offroading are range and weight so it's hardly surprising that it isn't good at it. The thing that makes me laugh is that they try and portray how good it is at offroading on graded roads that most cars could handle easily. I really don't get what they were thinking when they produced it tbh.

Who cares about Acceleration when you are towing something, a house trailer a horse trailer, a car trailer? Who cares about acceleration when you got tools in the back or some items that are loose. One thing for sure is that it is not a work truck whatsoever. People are complaining about the blind "SpotS" of the huge pillars. I am reading every review I can find about the *"CT"* and most of the stuff is negative. The one positive thing that everybody do like , is the *steer-by-wire* . ... Once they get use to it .

@@icosthop9998 Yeah your horse or worldly goods would be looking a bit average when you opened the back of the trailer after a launch like that I reckon. I get that they're trying to look futuristic or whatever but it just misses the point imo. It will no doubt appeal to the fanboys or whatever but not to anyone who really wants a truck to do truck things. They would have been better off waiting for the next step of battery tech and then blowing people's socks off rather than over promising and under delivering. Oh well no skin of my nose either way.

Surprising how many disatisfied "customers" who have never even sat in a Cybertruck, let alone own one. Sadly, there are too many truck owners are stuck in their brand loyalty and anything else must be crap.

It's not 'illegal', is it? Not unless you can tell me which criminal law is being broken. I wouldn't be surprised if the 'sellers' are Tesla stooges just advertising at a ludicrous price to drum up publicity (and you fell for it) and create the impression that people are that desperate to get one. And a 'pre-order' isn't an order. It's just an expression of interest. Like when an airline signs a deal to buy 10 Boeings with an option to buy another hundred but really they've only ordered 10.

It's in the purchase agreement as a no resale clause for the first yr I think because it turns to price gauging like when 2019 when any used available Tesla was 10k more than buying a new one because of the waiting time of 6-8 months. Can you imagine how much the resale on the roadster will be when the people got those? Those people paid 50% cash down 7 yrs ago and still don't have no date of release. Those people would deserve resale if they want. But cyber truck was only $100 lol, talk about impossible returns.

This would be civil law. Contract law falls under civil law. Sell singed an broke the contract agreement. See you in court kind of thing. Most will settle. I apparently have a better opinion of the Tesla than you do. I can see this happening w/o help from Tesla. Agree on preorders. Word is that Tesla is now getting 10K new reservations per week with a $250 refundable fee. But that was a while back.

Cybertruck as a product versus Toyota Hilux 👀😳🫣 You basic blue collar worker will opt for the economically viable. The Telsa CT needs to cost same as a Hilux, the indestructible truck as proven by UK Top Gear. 🔥🎈🧠🍷

Except each owner has agreed to Tesla's contract. They can sell, but then owe Tesla $50K. Rather common in the industry for high-demand low-availability vehicles.

People need to relax and stop being a cult of Tesla haters 😂 and label Tesla fans as cultists 😂 If you have thoughts on specifications share them. Early adopters always invariably are risk takers and invariably end up overpaying (atleast 20%+). This is based on experience with previous Tesla products but that’s fine for them. I reserved one and will be taking it. For me it’s an easy decision. I have to add one more Tesla to my family and was leaning MX earlier but now have shifted towards going CT because it’s same overall cost. I personally prefer a CT over F150 or R1T but those are great also. Any EV is better than going ICE assuming you have the $$ to go new vehicle vs used vehicle market. So stop hating and simply WATCH the technology improve 😜
