I wouldn't use cottage cheese for Ras Malai- literally translated it means creamy juice. This is made from milk, turned into these spongy milk cakes which are then soaked in a rose flavored milk, topped with pistachios. Is good.

@@YourGirlSam09 here in the states we have something called cottage cheese - this is why the spongy milk cake description is used. And yes chhena is the correct DESI word- in English you can called cheese curd- spongy milk cakes sound better and that's what they become anyways
