When I was a kid, 10 years old, I used to be obsessed with her character cuz she has that cool vibes despite having a tragic background history. It's been 16 years since I watched Inuyasha and I am still greatly admiring her character for having that emotional strength of watching your own reincarnation living the life you've always wanted

She is a very tragic character. Her strength is very admirable. Yes. She watched her reincarnation living the life she wanted. But she corrected all the wrongs she had in her life. Just short of killing Naraku. Inuyasha promises her that he would take care of that. When she died the final time I don't think she had any regrets, and she was happy. There is no doubt in anybodys mind that Inuyasha loved her, and she loved him.

Kikyo in anime make me feel like she is a real person like her story is like it really happened in reality.I saw lots of anime and character before,but only Kikyo can make me feel like this.

She’s my favorite female anime character of all time. I have yet to see a better female character than her. All respect to her. She was strong , kind and dedicated. She was smart and loved children and helped others. She lived all her life for others and even after her death despite all the pain she still sacrificed herself to save everyone.

I remember I started watch this anime in 6th grade because my friend loved it so much, I was interested. She hated Kikyo and I hate her for what she did. But when I watched the final act in 9th grade about her death, it made me cry honestly and what i didn't see before. I judged her very bad. She has been doing this because she knows what is best for her. She died, how the fuck she can make friends if she's dead. She makes people stay away from her or don't have an emotional connection with everyone. Mostly Inuyasha. She wants him to let her go, once she destroyed her enemy. she'll die at the end of the day again. I can see her point of view. but she still loved Inuyasha because it's her first relationship. my friend still hates her but i don't hate her anymore because shes always a good-hearting character. She knows what is best. She tries so hard to beat her enemy so everyone can be free from his curse. She try everything, and she helped others. The reason why she was rude to kagome was that she sees the life, that she always wanted, kagome had a good friends, actual friends. kagome show Inuyasha how to be kind to others, and show him how to cry, smile, and make new friends. Kikyo wanted to show Inuyasha all that. but cannot give him that before she died. It's honestly sad to think about it. Kikyo is still human with human emotinals, ofc she felt jealous, she was only 19 when she died bro, I would too if I see a person who looks like me having different life that I want, and my man having a good relationship with that person who looks just like me like upsetting.

I don't remember half of the story but the respect I have for Kikyo is still the same, and this song still brings me tears. She is one of the best female character I have ever seen.

I always loved Kikyo she didn’t deserve the injustice but Inuyasha suits both Kikyo and Kagome it’s very painful, sometimes I wished Kikyo really was evil so I didn’t have to feel sorry for her but she honestly was so realistic for a character concept

so beautiful... and heartbreaking her character made a big impact on me during my teen years, i guess it's my own way of being emo that time

This ost hurts so much, it fits Kikyo's tragic life perfectly. Watching her and Inuyasha still loving each other broke my heart bc it was already too late but also because there was Kagome's feelings for Inuyasha too. I really like Kagome, she is my fav female character of the series. I really liked her behaviour, her personality, her sincerity and her humanity even tho she was a bit jealous of Inuyasha and Kikyo's relationship. Rumiko Takahashi is one of the best author ! The emotions were all mixed and I felt them all♥︎ I talked a lot and not about the music... sorry IT MAKES ME NOSTALGIC !!

Well, if it makes you feel even a little bit better. Think of it this way. Kagome is Kikyo. Kikyo was reborn from part of Kagome's soul. Yes. Kikyo's story is tragic soooooo tragic it hurts. She was so strong. Strongest character of them all honestly. Sesshomaru comes in 2nd. lol. She corrected all the wrongs in her life. When she died the final time, I believed she died with no regrets. The only she had left to be done was killing Naraku. Inuyasha had already promised that Naraku will die. And her reincarnation, that is living the life that she wanted also wants Naraku dead. She had no regrets. Inuyasha clearly loved her. She clearly loved him. She died the way she wanted to

She is also one of my fav characters. I know alot of people hate her. I know alot of people hate kagome. LMFAO. They are the same character. Only one is much older and wiser, and the other is just a young girl without a clue. Most of the series they shared the same doul.........seriously. yeah, they both was jealous of each other at times. Yeah, being over jealous is horrible and ugly. But if someone has a amount of self control. Jealously can actually be cute. It can show that someone cares. Lol

@@ericdavis8910 yes they were linked bc Kagome has a part of the soul of Kikyo, but still I think they are different. I am sad for Kikyo but at the same time I am really happy for Kagome, she also deserved to live her love with Inuyasha. I know a lot of people like Sesshomaru, i like him too but not that much. His character had a nice development but that's it. As for Kagome I am shocked to learn that people hate her! I really like Inuyasha and Kagome and I was happy Kikyo could do what she wanted and say goodbye to her loved one before her soul left the Earth. At that moment it must have hurt Kagome to see them kissing but she is very kind and she always took Kikyo's feelings in consideration. I really like Kagome, at least if people hate her she still has a big fan: me ! ^^

@@ericdavis8910 Kikyo is 18, Kagome is 15. Not *much* older than Kagome, lol. But, yeah, much more mature than Kagome, for sure, because Kikyo's life was harder and full of responsibilities that Kagome didn't have to bear. And though they are the same soul, they're not really the same person, as their personalities and behavior are different. It's the same soul in different circumstances, and it's just normal that the soul will produce different personalities. It's fine. Your favorite version comes to your opinion and like. I prefer her soul in her Kikyo version. Her Kagome version is not so appealing to me.

It's been probably a decade since I read/watched Inuyasha, but if I remember correctly, the poor girl didn't ask to get resurrected. Rather than wanting her out of the way of Kagome and Inuyasha's relationship, I wanted her to be laid to rest and free from her loneliness. Such a tragic character.

Sependapat, paling sebel adegan kagome di sumur tulang sudah jelas inuyasha milih kikyo, kagome mlh ttp ingin bersama inuyasha, ya setidaknya menghilang sejenak gitu dari hidup inuyasha biar hati dan pikiran inuyasha lebih yakin ke siapa gitu. Sampe tamat pun inuyasha setahu q tidak pernah benar² menyatakan hatinya utk kagome, hanya ketika kagome dlm bahaya musuh saja bilg ingin melindungi. Serius sebel sama inuyasha.🤣🤣🤣
