I fought Quincy Taylor my 1st pro fight in 1986. Lesson #1. Never take a fight on a 3 day notice when you been breaking all the rules. Quincy's a nice fella, I have a lot of respect for him. maurice

This fight proves Norris could indeed take a punch before Jackson damaged his ability to take a punch.

Not at all, I just considered them as another opponent, looking back, the feelings a little different. I am glad to have fought such top contenders my first two pro fights. I remember Jim Sim's asst trainer Gene Fields saying, "You pick 'em tough" as I was leaving the ring after the Thomas Tate fight.

Al Bernstein was heavily biased in favor of Sugar Ray's fighter. Terry Norris dominated the last two rounds but Bernstein made it sound like Norris was losing.
