This game was so great, but I could never finish it. I actually got so anxious from Silent Realms and the Imprisoned, that when the Imprisoned started flying I broke down in tears then got yelled at by my mom for acting that way because of a game.

i know its tough and a little intimadating, but never fear the silent realms. sometimes u have to do them over and over again till u get things right. i know its frustrating but it does take patience. and u'll also have groose help u with that imprisoned monster too im not saying u have to finish it though, im just saying i believe u can do it🤗

All my Silent Realm PTSD encapsulated into one animation... Between these and the three battles against the Imprisoned, Skyward Sword does not have the replayability of most of the other LoZ games...

The imprisoned is definitely the low points of SS but it's honestly such as easy boss after experimenting better ways to beat him on hero mode. Even on its final version where it seems impossible to slash its toe things you can just use the bow

The theme for Farore's silent realm still makes me wanna cry in fear. I love how he went from terrified, to constantly panicking, to resigned, to thoroughly traumatized, and emerged an incredible badass.

The moment I heard the Silent Realm music in this animation I had a minor heart attack (not really) and wanted to cry (really) Incredible, Amazing work on this.

This is amazing.👏 Skyward Sword is criminally underrated this game is fantastic but some treat it like it's a disease. Yes it was linear,eazy,never shuts up with tutorials and really padded but none of that hinder the game enough to make it even remotely bad. Now that I finally played it via the Switch it is one of my all time favorite games.

Yay a Skyward Sword animation! This is such an underrated game. Thank you for making this! We really need more SS content. And this hits really hard since I'm doing the Eldin Volcano Silent Realm. Btw it helps if you turn off the sound when you're in the Silent Realm. It's less stressful.

@Ashes-To-Ashes Damn I hate the Mining Facility💀 This is a controversial opinion but the desert is my least favorite place. The colors are boring and the electric monsters are the worst. I love being able to hack away carelessly at my enemies.

as much as this realm terrified me I really enjoyed the mechanics and wonder if they will brink back something like it in TotK after seeing the spirit flame looking things in the cave clips

I love this. This part in the actual games was artistically my favorite with the suspenseful music, the world turning red, giant one-hit-kill entities simultaneously reanimating, and how the visuals and music change when you get closer to running out of time. This really captured all of the frustrating tears. So much that I haven’t played in years and yet I know exactly which sections are being referenced.

Silent realm is intimidating, but this video is incredible!

Skyward Sword is my #1 Zelda and either in my top 3 favorite games, or number 1. It has its tutorial shortcomings and it is linear, but the characters, lore, gameplay, story, combat, and literally everything else made up for it. I had no issues with the motion controls on the Wii, and just sat there dumbfounded watching people spaz out like it’s every other Zelda then complain it’s broken when it didn’t work. But the combat system is SUPER well thought out. Every enemy responds to every weapon, and it’s not designed for spazzing. If you spazzed in the beginning that’s one thing. But once you’re say in Lanayru, you got no one to blame but yourself for not realizing the game is meant for a lot more strategic combat. And in the new switch version, grinding is a lot less of a headache with the repetitive cuts from material gathering. Silent Realms were the Twilight Realm done RIGHT. It’s the spiritual brother to Twilight Princess and upped the strengths from that game. I can’t deny it’s flaws but it has SO much good in it. If Nintendo wanted to make the ultimate Zelda, combine the strengths of Botw and Skyward and you got yourself probably the perfect video game

Let's be honest, the scariest part was playing that damn harp

This doesnt capture the sheer terror one feels when they lose time or step into waking water, but nothing could anyway. Out of everything in the game, the silent realms are the only thing I dread if I replay it. Not the bosses, not the monsters or puzzles, not even that dam tadtone trial. The freaking realm of WAKEUSUPANDYOUDIE

I didnt know the real meaning of anxiety until the day I played my first Silente Realm

The most frustrating part for e was just having to see the guardians awaken. I get it: when the lights are red, I'm good as dead; but if lights are a blue glow, I'm good to go.

Redeads in ocarina of time spooked me more with their screams and hugs.

Oof, for me by the time I get to the third trial I end up procrastinating the game for weeks. Nice video by the way, the nostalgia is strong here lol

I was so worried that the return ot the sky islands in totk would bring this aspect back but im soooo glad it didn't.

I remember playing this for the first time. Despite being 24 years old, the Silent Realms freaked me out. I loved it, don't get me wrong but BOY did I hate triggering them and I didn't expect it. I would run Link's butt as FAST as I could going 'No no no no no!' the entire time until those things went back to sleep.

Man, I remember playing Skyward Sword as a kid when it was new, wasn't really feeling that into it, and when I hit the first Silent Realm the jumpscare from waking up the Guardians freaked me out so much I stopped playing immediately and didn't touch it again until just last year

So accurate. The first time I played Skyward Sword, I got to the first silent realm, tried once and got so freaked out that I stopped playing entirely. But epic story time - in Lanayru's silent realm, I got surrounded just as I was going to try to jump on a ledge. The guardian in front of me was literally RIGHT THERE so I just gave up and stopped. But I was on sand, so instead of getting hit, I just sunk into the sand - and instead of starting over it just put me on the ledge I was about to get on - which was now on the other side of the guardian! So I could keep running! (I felt so cool)

When I played the silent realm, after the first time I would yell upstairs at my dad “I’m going to be screaming a lot, ignore me.” It is designed SO WELL. I was actually terrified because of how the game pits you on edge. I’m a vocal person, but I rarely actually start yelling with games.

As a skyward sword veteran (cause I played it when it came out and played the HD, more of a self appointed veteran '\("/)/' ) this is very good! Arguably the most stressful parts of the game besides the imprisoned fight, mostly because of the impending doom due to the timer. Great animation though! :)

somehow i really liked all the silent realms, this kind of a stealth game with a bit of preplanning was somehow relaxing - instead of wasting tons of rupees on the roulette, playing again and again in the stupid bar or watch the pumpkins fall for the xth time.

Honest, the Eldin Volcano silent realm was the most difficult for me. All that sliding down the sand just to smack some waking water.

The scariest thing for me in this game wasn’t the imprisoned, or that zombie zone in the cistern, it was by far the silent realm. The running out of time sound effect in particular just immediately sent me into panic mode back then😅

The Silent Realms were always the place of both my lowest and highest points playing this game. In a single Silent Realm, I managed to slip past two separate lantern ghost guys in ways that should have been literally impossible. I had no room. I was basically touching the lights. I felt like a goddamn NINJA. And minutes later I fell off a cliff while the guardians were asleep. I wasn’t even running. I just fucking fell. I felt like a complete moron.

The actual music when they are following you sounds like its straight out of doom

You should probably do a paroday of Link taking over people's beds in this game. Because you can sleep in pretty much any bed in the game. It would be funny :X

Never actually got to finish this game. I reached the last trial on Skyloft but it was too much for my heart. My last memory of the game is crying on my couch after the Guardians got me right before I reached the safe zone with the last tear. My Wii stopped working soon after that and I never got to finish the game.
