I can say this myself. These DODO vids are so hopeful and show how things really get better with love and TLC. They make ya smile, don't they? Even on a cloudy day.

Kind of reminds me of our dog Wilbur. He was abused and rescued (police involved). Broken leg, stab wound to the hip, and a hernia due to blunt force drama to the abdomen. That's all we could figure out about his past thanks to the vet who examined him. Where ever he was, there must have been some young children who showed him kindness. He's afraid of adults, but always gets excited when he sees a child and wants to play with them. When dad brought him home, Wilbur cowered and tried his best to hide from all of us for at least half an hour to an hour. He was stuck to dad like glue and was afraid he was going to be hurt again. Over time, he realized he was in a good home and was given lots of love. Dad spent his retirement years with Wilbur. They went on rides together, watched TV together, etc. But in December, we lost Dad to covid complications. Wilbur was mom's rock through the entire ordeal. Years of love returned tenfold as Wilbur was inseparable from mom. It's no exaggeration when people say that dogs are a blessing upon humans.

I was very moved by your heartwarming story. My dog was my companion until she was euthanized because of her hips. I'm so sorry about your father. I knew someone who passed away because of COVID-19 and she was only in her mid-fifties. It was so sad because she deeply loved and was loved by her family. I hope your Mom realizes that your Dad lived a good life by raising such a thoughtful and compassionate son. I'm glad Wilbur has helped you and your Mom.

Sometimes if a person is abused themselves, they abuse others and animals. I know a man that was abused as a child. He decided not to have children because he was afraid he would abuse them. Very sad.

Agree, but if you ate bacon, meat, turkey, etc today actually you did similar things to other animals, animals that feel pain and fear and live in pain in some cases their entire lives.

Tobi loves you, it's so obvious. And clara played a major role in teaching tobi how to be a dog again. What a lovely story. Warms my heart.

I rescued a Collie and she was just terrified of EVERYTHING. She was abused and forced to breed and got extremely sick so they dumped her on the streets. She looked sad when I got her like you could tell by her eyes she was saying “Don’t hurt me please” Now she is happy ( except for some health issues)and such a little explorer and is very spoiled to say the least.

animal abusers are more likely to abuse humans as well, if you look at famous serial killers they almost always have a past of hurting animals. so they are basically the same type of monster.

The most satisfying feeling is helping someone, animal or person, overcome a disabling fear.

You can tell by his face that he wants to trust, it's these stories that touch my heart the most, good luck bud we all love you.

It's an amazing thing that after all the beatings and abuse they will still trust us, some take longer than others but they do regain trust. How they do that I'll never understand, but that explains the term God's little angels.

@@dominicksforza3484 I agree that animals are better than humans a lot of times. They take the abuse out on themselves instead of lashing out at others. They have an uncanny ability to forgive, there should be research on this(there definitely already is).

I don't know what poor Tobi had endured before he came to this rescue, but it had to have been extremely traumatic, something that no animal shouldn't ever experience 😢. I'm so glad that people like this exist to save poor defenseless animal's. After all, all they really crave is love, feeling safe, and knowing that they never need to be afraid ever again. God bless these wonderful people! ❤

Have you undergone a process of attempting to prove or disprove your hypothesis, while applying analytical rigor? Unless of course you are authentically and genuinely an animal, rather than a mere jackass claiming to be one.

A lot of people think animals that act like this have been abused, in some cases yes, but most likely the dog was never handled or socialized as a pup. I've worked with behavior dogs at an animal shelter for 10 years. I've seen many a dog that was born outside and never handled by people act exactly like this. People would bring in a litter of 6 month old pups that had never been out of the backyard and they were just like this....and of course, now they are the shelters problem and we have to try and fix them so they can be adoptable. Socialization is vital to a happy, healthy pup. I suppose you could save say not socializing your puppy is a form of abuse.

@@9459viola maybe. One of ex gfs had a trio of papillon that were rescued from a puppy mill. I found out bc i wanted to know why they would each take a bite of food, run off, eat it or hide it then come back for more. Many days i woke up with kibble in my shoes. Heartbreaking.

I’m convinced that the people that rescue these sweet animals , are the reason that there’s still good in this world! 🩵🩵🩵 The love, patience & compassion they show animals, keeps the goodness going & gives me hope everyday❣️

Thank you picking up the dog and carrying him to the play area. I'm probably projecting but I felt that he needed that physical connection. I think it made a difference and was so much kinder than pulling him along for the first little bit. I am so sorry for whatever challenges he had to face before being rescued and am so grateful he doesn't have to face them any longer. He's finally home now.

Yeh I used to like dodo but if you look back at all their recent Vids it's all about the hurt and despair . It brings the numbers and views in. There is actually a movement off many people about a KZread group that are purposely putting animals in position of despair for vids it's disgraceful ... Go check it out. Now I used to like dodo because there vids were sometimes upsetting but always used to try make hope out of despair now all they release is horror stories

I bought a ten month old pup three weeks ago she was terrified and I knew I couldn't leave her. With a lot of love and patience bit by bit she is showing more of her personality and is growing in confidence. We have a way to go but she is doing great. She is such a sweet girl who has stolen my heart.

I'm from the Navajo reservation and it's sad to see these puppies with a broken spirit. A puppy is a symbol of innocence and happiness. Animals cannot speak up for themselves, they have no voice. How dare someone tries to break their spirit, just because they can get away with it. Toby is very fortunate to have an active owner because Toby needed to feel his freedom again, he needed to run his little legs to restore his spirit. God bless you guys at dodo, I love your videos, it cheers up my morning.

I swear I watch these just to feel human at the end of a work day in quarantine. Working to buy a house with space for 2 dogs, 1 from shelter and 1 growing up from a puppy. Makes all this work worth it

We have a husky brought up from being a puppy. After a few years we rescued another husky who must have had a hard life (would roll on back and pee when my wife approached but always loved me). The two socializing together is the best thing for both of them. Good luck when you can get to do it!

Talented Tadpole Family we found one too and we took her to the vet to see if she has a microchip but she did not so now we need to find her a home because where I live I cannot have any more dogs sadly I wish I could keep her but animal control has come to my house and told me I cannot have any more dogs

This is how I feel about my rescue. When he first was brought home the first few years were difficult. He began to realize I just plain old loved him, He is now so gentle and loving to all who meet him. People come up to him to pet him!!!

Dogs are the most wonderful, loyal, unconditional love, and all they want Is to be loved and to be a companion to someone. How anyone - any MONSTER can torture a dog or any animal is beyond me. I cry when I see videos like this because an animal is helpless in a bad situation. I'm so glad we have guardian angels around the world who rescue these poor souls.
