    Actually he played 6 season. But he got accolades to prove it. No he may didn't play longer cause of the injuries and have small numbers. But his was one of the best RB's during mid 90's and probably the best RB, if he didn't have that injury and play lil longer

    It's a tragedy that both Davis and Sterling Sharpe have been excluded from the Hall of Fame because their careers were cut short by injuries. Both were so ridiculously dominant at their positions.

    +Lazarus Kabrareah barry sanders and TD are my favorite rbs. However longevity does have something to do with getting into the hall. Arguably the greatest rb ever will never get in because his career was cut short. mr bo jackson. But unlike bo, td might have done just enough before the injuries. id love to see him get in but i understand him not getting in

    Joe Deli Unfortunately you're right. If players' careers are less than 10 years they typically don't get into the Hall, very sad. Because of that plays like Roger Craig likely won't get in. I think what annoys me the most though is seeing guys get in that don't deserve it, especially Joe Namath. Namath got in because of his popularity, not his skill.

  • @joedeli8254

    @joedeli8254

    Its not just what ifs tho. When healthy he showed what he could do. he averaged more yards per carry than almost any rb ever. Higher than brown and sanders. The only one higher is jamaal charles. The "what ifs" come into play when we talk about what career numbers he could have put up. But there is no questioning that BO was one of the best backs to ever play when he was healthy.

  • @ZiPolishHammer

    @ZiPolishHammer

    Joe Deli If Bo were to endure the wear and tear of full seasons year after year, any statistician would tell you those averages would come down. He was an athletic freak capable of breaking off a big play on every pitch, and that's the truth.

    When you factor in the post season, I think you can make a good case this is the GOAT season from a RB. 2,000 yards rushing in the regular season, won the MVP award, at least 150 total yards in every playoff game, and the Broncos won the Super Bowl. Talk about the counterpoint for the narrative that RB's who win the MVP don't have post season success. All time great season from TD.

Side note; There are a lot of rushing related records that end up being set against Seattle. TD and CJ2k both got to 2000 yards in a season against the Seahawks. I want to say that Emmit Smith passed Sweetness against them as well but I need to check. Either way there are a lot of them. And Seattle has had a decent run Defense historically, not great like 2013-16 but decent. P

    What may not be obvious is this was also a test for the playoffs. If the team can force TD to get 170 rushing yards in a game that doesn't matter then they can work just as hard and force it again in the playoffs. It was a test of will.

    The underrated & forgotten Terrell Davis.

  • @redmustangredmustang
    @redmustangredmustang10 ай бұрын

    The 98 Broncos just rolled over everyone. Terrell Davis is a big part why Denver at the time had 2 rings and big reason why John Elway got to ride off in the sunset. The 96 to 98 Broncos lost ONE HOME GAME. ONE. That was the 96 divisional game against Jacksonville. Other than that the Broncos at home expected to win. If you had season tickets from 96 to 98 you saw greatness and you saw a win everytime. The crazy thing is that he pulled from and sat for 8 quarters when the team was winning. That's two games. He would have crushed Eric Dickerson's single season record. The sad part is that the next season that ACL tear changed his whole career and he couldn't be that great running back anymore.

    Best most dominant back in the league late 90s; better than Sanders and better than Smith. But largely forgotten due to injuries. Only Riggins came close to him in the playoffs

    +Lazarus Kabrareah impossible to compare because the NFL when Brown played was white as could be and there was no speed on defense. Hell Marion Motley dominated a decade before Brown did, on offense and defense. Brown was great, no doubt, but if you sent TD back in time he'd have easily done the same thing

    So glad I was able to watch those great Broncos teams. We should've won 3 but Jacksonville come to Mile High & played the perfect game to beat the Broncos. Took me awhile to give the Jags credit. T D would've been one of the greatest, in my mind he is.

    Terrell Davis should be in the Hall Of Fame . If he's not the missing piece for Elway to collect those 2 rings then I don't know who is . If Gale Sayers is in HOF for his short career due to injury then Davis should be in there hands down .
