These terrazzo coasters were soooo fun to make and also super easy. You can even use this technique to make pots, plates or whatever mold you can get your hands on. This project was also very cheap to make. Terrazzo has been around for a while but I'm currently obsessed with it since it's an easy way to tie in colors from a space without overwhelming it.

I wonder what the texture of the coasters was when you were finished? How absorbent they were and did they break easily?
Are these resins moulds or we can use plastic caps of various boxes also?
So it’s not a requirement seal it for protection against moisture??
Can i use tempera paints fir colors too?. I have tried food color but the colors smudges and spreads out through the entire pot.

Definitely! It dries in about 30 minutes or more (depending on how much water and how thick your mold is) and fully cures in about 48 hours, after that, it’s pretty strong as long as you don’t drop it 😊

in order to sand the material you need to use sand paper with a little bit of water.

plaster of paris is relatively cheap, on amazon it's $8 for 5lbs which is more than enough for this project
What is the clear thing in the bottle? Hehe , & is this waterproof?

Hello! It’s just water 😊 you can spray some clear acrylic spray paint to make it water resistant

I actually mixed my own paints, i muted some colors down with black then added white for a softer look 😊
