Calamity makes Vanilla rly easy but the second you reach post-moonlord is when u start to suffer, thats why ppl say its harder than legendary mode

Fun little fact, if you get too far from her she inflicts a crippling debuff that burns through your health. You can actually see it doing 2 health per half nano-second.

I think it is actually exponential dealing more damage the more time you are outside AND FINALLY THE CALAMITY DEVS WILL PUT A BORDER TO IT SO YOU DON'T GET OUT BY ACCIDENT LIKE THAT IS A MIRACLE IT MAKES THE FIGHT AT LEAST 2 TIMES EASIER BECAUSE YOU ALWAYS GET OUT BECAUSE YOU COULDN'T KNOW WHERE THE LIMIT WAS but yeah finally the most irritating thing will not be as bad and will have actual sense oh and the border thing i say it from what they said on the discord

Calamity has items to toggle weather and stuff, in case you missed them (since you were sleeping to skip the rain, I'm assuming so): - Cosmolight for day/night - Torrential Tear for rain on/off - Arid Artifact for sandstorm on/off and either Torrential Tear or Arid Artifact (or both) also works for blizzard Oh and wizard sells rod of discord for bosses, can be upgraded aswell (wizard has to be in Hollow)

cosmolight only switches to the next day and doesnt get rid of events like sandstorms or rains, though you can skip events like blood moons and solar eclipses

i love how they have the slime god strat where they get full HP every two seconds and still die immediately 95% of the time

Providence was so difficult because if you get to far away from her then you get a LOVELY debuff that drains your health really fast! Its the cause of the "converted into mana" death message if im not mistaken. Sean is playing Melee so enemies are more likely to target him, meaning if you weren't close to Sean then I hope ya like being converted into mana!

Pretty sure it doesn’t become enraged while out of hallow, just invincible. It only becomes enraged when you summon it at night

If you go far enough in the dungeon, they already have an arena for you. I just did a calamity playthrough and one generated for me. took some exploring to find, however.

There are two mods I know of that you may like. The first one I don’t remember the name but allows you to have 10 or 30 potions in your inventory or piggy bank and it will permanently keep the effect on your character. Second one I think is called NPC’s don’t die, as the name suggests the npc’s will never die unless you use a voodoo doll

@@damiengaudard8806 Infernum isnt malice tho thats an entirely different project its a fan made addon. It started as just a new difficulty mode but derailed into a full blown expansion its now arguably a must install for calamity even if you dont plan on playing on infernum mode.

Once again, Sipho and McBased suffer from a lack of reading comprehension (and skill). Hilarious video as always, fellows! List of illiteracy moments for anyone interested: - Fighting Yharon several times instead of Providence before realizing he’s the wrong boss - Summoning Providence at nighttime - Calling Providence a guy despite her title very clearly saying “Goddess” (was acknowledged in the song, but only after the boss was slain) - Taking Providence outside of the Hallow during the fight - Sipho not realizing the Mana Polarizer is killing him, at least initially

Fun fact, by fighting providence at night, she is in her strongest form where she has the attacks of both her form in hell and in the hallow. Effectively becoming enraged. BUT, it makes her drop a very strong item.

if your talking about the wings, or the aegis, the wings drop if killed in the hallow and the aegis drops if killed in hell

there is an arena in the dungeon already, look for it in the deepest room of the dungeon and you will see a giant room to fight polterghast and ceaseless void

ngl it's easier to dodge the laser in the hallowed, you just need rod of discord or normality relocator, the crystal attack she does in hell is harder for me to dodge, and I'm also really lazy when it comes to making arenas so I just make an arena in the sky for providence

Ah Providence, inflicting pain and suffering as always :) (Also the part were they summon Yharon was hilarious) Also the thing that was burning you both in the fight was that if you get too far from Providence you'll get the Holy Flame debuff (which drains your health id you don't pay attention) and it only disappears when Providence isn't too far from you. And Calamity generates a dungeon arena in world gen, but idk if it's on the version that you both are playing.

Just a note about providence, the "holy fire burns away at your wings" makes you take damage when flying iirc

u can use the aboomination to stop any event even rains+you can buy events from him u need alchemist npc lite or alchemist npc for aboomination which i think you have and if u have it installed you can get 30 of a buff to make it perma just put it in a piggy bank or safe

the providence parody of last friday night is the best parody of all terraria history

That laser hurts like hell, which is why I fight them in there instead of the hallow. There also should be a giant room at the deepest part of the dungeon, dug up to it from hell to make it a quick passage

Damn Providence Fight goes hard now I can’t stop humming the song

so, quick tips for anyone fighting Providence cause she can be a real spike (my ranger went from killing all bosses in seconds to me needing to actually pay attention and dodge). Fight her during the day, create a huge arena with at least one or two platform layers, and don't ever leave hell or hallow or she will take virtually no damage. Stay close, she does no contact damage and flying through her is actually more often than not the best way of dodging her. Later on she will half your wing time, this can be preveted by standing in water or honey, no joke just tank the debuff if you have the Dragonfolly's wings, and try to stay on her left or right you'll be fine (I recommend right if you have the minimap on, much easier to see. If spears, just stay still and walk back slowly, then fly up and towards her, adjust as necessary for the spears. For the stars though, there is a nice sweet spot not too far or too close, find a feel for it and space yourself accordingly, tap your wings and jump the stars, if there is a green one, let it hit you for a free heal. Later on, she will do a heat ray shortly after this move, just watch for her slowing down her movement, then fly up and over her.) Most other attacks are simple and easy to dodge, the homing flames just need you to double back on yourself and it is easy as pie. When she summons the three enemies, just kill the healer first and you'll be relatively fine. And as a golden rule, never run from her, that is how you get the rapid health drain and that will kill you far more often than any of her actual attacks

At this point im just waiting for Sipho to try infernum, not even bc it's hard, i just want more modded terraria content. 1:37 Also Yharon phase 2 theme fire :)

I recommend using the holy collider for storm weaver. decimates their first phase

If I remember correctly, the shrooms the drunken princess sells used to give an attack bonus as well, but they removed it in recent updates

Little did they know, there was a debuff from providence that drained their health when they were far away from her, and there is already a pre generated arena for them in the dungeon

Did you know that there is a giant open area in the dungeon for ceaseless void and polterghast. It's just kinda hard to find.

Fun fact: you can right click buff from the top left to get rid of it however it won't work on a debuff and the mushroom doesn't count as debuff
