You are doing a great job in creating such valuable videos. Can you please do this Terraform+Azure with this scenario? Use SPN and secret to connect to Azure, but instead leverage AKV to fetch the secret. Also, fetch the PW of VM from AKV at the time of VM creation. Use a managed identity for authenticating to azure instead of an SPN.

Yes it will store the references but not the resource itself. When you run a plan or apply next time it says refreshing state means it reads references and refreshes the existing resources info dynamically

Bro... Please create a video demonstrating how to call an existing resource and insert it into the current resource file. For instance, to provide permission to an existing resource utilizing the resource id details without hard coding a value everywhere.

Hi Yashwanth, it by default gets created by Azure. It enables network monitoring tools as part of the deployment. It's been there for a long time.

The question might be silly but it is a doubt for me. So, at this point of time stamp 1:04:52 1) I can use the same pattern which you followed of dividing the files and writing the code in a real time project? 2) Why did we write var.prefix for Vnet?

Variable file contains a keyword and prefix will be hard coded. This will be used to dynamically form a string for resource name.

Hi Venkat, around 2.2hrs into this video, you created new sources by referring to manually created vnet/subnet resource. Once deployment is completed using "data", will the state file now recognize the manually created vnet & Subnet, if yes, then should we remove "data" from our next deployment?

Who is Venkat? I'm Charan 😊 you should never change your deployment file no matter how you deploy either using data or resource. Because terraform identifies it as a change and does apply or destroy based on modifications in the deployment file.

It's the same Pavan. If you understand terraform correctly. Core ingredients are the same for every recipe. When I say recipe, it could be AWS or Azure or gcp. You explore by yourself, that's how you will learn. If you expect spoon feeding you can't learn. All the best.
