Thanks for reviewing the solo mode, Chris. Small correction: The action card is on the left and the support card on the right. Before the next turn the action card is moved to the right and becomes the new support card. Then you draw a new action card. (The difference is that you don‘t know Automa‘s next action ahead) 😉. No biggie… You‘re still planning to review the Libertalia solo mode?

You did the Action/Support card draw wrong. When drawing a new card you slide the "Action" card to the right replacing the old "Support" Card becoming the new support. and the new drawn card becomes the new "Action" card. #3 of the "An Automa Turn" section. slide the previous Action card to the right, on top of the previous Support card. It is the Support card for this turn.

they also made the automa for gaia project - formaly know as terra mystica in space. But the automa of terra mystica is much better, because it deals much better with how the automa chooses a field.

I saw your rating on bgg for Terra Mystica is a 4, I'm assuming that isn't supposed to be so low, based on your comments in the video seemed like you'd give it a 6-7?

I should update some of my older ratings. It wouldn't be a 4 anymore, but it's not a game I am in a rush to play at the higher player counts. It floats in an odd place where I respect it but don't love it. This solo mode were the most enjoyable sessions I've had, actually. The base game probably resides between a 5 to a 6 for me.

is the sliding not the other way aroind?

It turns out you are correct. It does change that there's a bit less information on what the automa will do. All said, I think everything remains impressive on this one.

Nice review! Automa Factor also did the solo for Gaia Project. After watching the review, they don't appear to be that similar.

They share some similarities, like the card system, but yeah… TM is different than Gaia, so there‘s also a lot of differences in the solo mode.

This is the best solo product made by automa factory..it’s fantastic and has lots of variability (actually three ways to vary difficulty) better than Gaia P

Do you think owning both Terra Mystica and Gaia Project for solo is worth it? I already have Gaia which I really like. I've been tempted by the big box hehehe.
