Oh my goodness I loooooove the second look you did! I also, as others have said, scrape my finger on the pan with chunkier shades. I find them irritating on my eyes if I don’t and even then it’s 50/50 with shimmers 🥲
So with Terra moons chunkier shades scrape your finger on the edge of the pan to help before getting your finger out of the pan
Hmm so as someone who uses these types of shades quite often, it looks to me like you’ve picked up too much product, hence the issues with the globs of eyeshadow on your lids. I like to tap a light layer of a sticky primer like the PMG intensifeyes or even better Fyrranea Pixie Epoxy and then tap verrrrry sheer layers on my lids. If I got too much on my finger, I’ll smooth it out on the top of my hand to get rid of some flakes. This way it’s much easier to build up and control - and while it takes a little extra effort, the intense shine and shifts are worth it! PMG is much easier to work with in terms of her baked astral formulas, but you don’t really get the same kinds of fairy dust, magical mermaid shifty shades with her collection, I find.
Thank you for the video, just what I was looking for! I loved the third look the most. While the shadows are stunning, I don’t think applying eyeshadow should be so much work and pain. I am a bit sad these didn’t work out as we all anticipated…

I filmed this video a while back when these shades first came out, but it’s taken me a while to edit and release it. Hope the video’s still helpful/interesting to some of you though! By the way, the second look is with Milky Way, not Winter Sun (Winter Sun was the first look) - I misspoke several times during that portion of the video. And the third look is with Coalescence. In terms of my overall thoughts about these shadows, I really wish TM stayed with the previous large mica particle size formula they used when I purchased The Cosmos. I thought these new ones would be similar to that since they had the same description, but they’ve dramatically increased the particle size and reduced the base pigmentation. For the last look, even though I managed to reduce the fallout issues, as the day wore on, the eyeshadow cracked more and more, so I really didn’t find the look flattering for my personal preferences. Milky Way and Coalescence are much easier to use though, as long as you use some mixing liquid or sticky primer.
This is super helpful and validating as I struggle to make these super pretty eyeshadows work on my lids. They are too textured, makes my lids crepey and uneven looking, and also can change my whole eye shape and therefore my whole face. It’s fun to swatch and I enjoy staring at them lol but on the eyes many indie eyeshadows just do not work well on me. I should say I don’t prime or set, which I’m sure would improve the performance of these shadows. But it’s just not how i apply makeup. Anyways, your reaction in the first look is exactly how I felt trying to make mu cephei (which is gorgeous) and even phoenix work. 😂
I just randomly came across this video (6 months late) I have some Terra moons shadows and i really don't like their chunky formula. Have you tried Devinah cosmetics?.... Their mystic cove collection is so beautiful and not chunky like TM
