I love how similar the special effects are to Jarre's oxygene part 2.

The special effects like galactic gunshots are made with the Korg MS 20 monophonic synthesizer and it was really difficult to get the right dynamics to get the different textures of the same sound. The wind is made with the Yamaha CS 40-m and the white noise sounds with the Oberheim Matrix 6 and the Korg DW 8000. The resonant and cyclic sound at the end of the track with the wind is made with the Kawai SX 210.
