Do you ever treat homes with well water with Termidor and under what circumstance? We received a quote for a pre-treatment or preventative treatment from a local company. After writing up the quote they asked if we have a well. Our well is 50-75ft from the house, so they said it was far enough away that it wouldn’t be impacted. I’m still a little concerned about it leaching into the groundwater. I was told that the chemical would bind with the soil and there would be no issue with contamination. Since it’s a preventative, I feel like we have other options if termidor poses more of a risk. Just wondering what your professional opinion is. Located in Southwest Virginia.

I agree..well done video... On a mobile home would it make sense to still treat the perimeter or do you have to go under the home and treat the entire crawl space? I would think/hope just the perimeter would be fine as the termites would travel that far but my fear is that they only travel under the home and back inside the home where their food source is.... This seems like an excellent PREVENTION method but would it work for eliminating current colonies inside the home as well?

@@macknumber9 Don't forget about treating piers under your mobile home. I find more tunnels here than the underpinning or pipes.

Once they make the mud tunnels into your home do they even use them again? I am assuming that once they get into your home and have their wood (food source) there would be no reason to travel back outside the perimeter of your home? The reason I ask is because I would hate to waste my time hitting the perimeter of the home if there is an active infestation and the termites would never go back to the perimeter of the home...I would not be waiting time for a future prevention tactic but I would be for killing the current entire colony IF they did not travel that far back outside the perimeter of the home...

Maybe a good tactic would be baiting them by burying some baits under the home (in this case it is a mobile home)...bury the baits (cardboard moistened and treated with termidor) that way the current infestation finds this and brings it back to the colony and it kills them all off....bury the bait under the home near some mud tunnels that I see....then after I can do the trench method for PREVENTION for the next 5 to 10 years....

They make contact back down the tubes and tunnels to the ground every 24 to 48 hours to bring moisture back.

They go back and forth to the colony and would spread the poison, so you won't be wasting your time with a barrier treatment. kzread.info/dash/bejne/gWx3mMmqYNm7oM4.html
