Hey I know I’m late and I hope you still read these but I’m doing a ls swap on my e46 and was wondering if you had any schematics or pinouts for the wiring. I would really appreciate it

Of course I read them! I don’t have an e46 Pinout, on the e36 it’s the “x20” connector. The e46 has a similar one, you can google the pin out, and then cut and solder the wires to the term x wiring. There’s only 4-5 wires you need.

Got a question do you have pic of the wires that came out of the x20 plug I’m mating the ls harness to he x20 just trying to get a pic of what needs to be hooked up.

Man i have a twin turbo LS E36 with the wiring specialties harness and i want a programmable ECU but HP tuners is too expensive. Any luck selling your old WS harness? I might end up doing the same thing as you here, do you recommend it? Also why not just run that first cable to the positive battery post up in the engine bay instead of snaking it through the car?

Massry Maserati I haven’t listed it for sale yet. Probably this week. I thought that too with the first cable, but I asked Holley and they said they STRONGLY suggest I run it to the battery, so I did. I liked my wiring specialties one, and I didn’t have to wire anything like this, but tuning it will be easier, I also do not have HP tuners.

Late to the game, but I'm swapping out my WS harness to Holley Term X. VSS doesn't route through the PCM. It is picked up from the differential. I'm trying to create a spread sheet so I can keep my functionality like you. Only have way through your video now. Do you happen to have a spreadsheet?

I don’t, go on WS support page on their website and in the install document there’s a pin out of the x20 adapter. I attached the corresponding wires to the ones the hokey needs, I think it’s 5 wires. I lost some things like coolant, and reverse lockout. But I’m workin on a fix for that as well

@@LowBoostFilms Yeah, the Term X only needs about 5 connections (fuel, start signal, constant power, switch power, grounds). I'm going to wire up a back-up light switch and coolant temp separate of the TermX. The whole charging & starting system is separate as well. Planning to tackle this weekend.

The cheap way is to re use the stock harness, but you’d still need to have HP tuners and the credits and software it’ll cost almost the same.
