It’s funny - that Skynet would create a Terminator so robust, durable, and dedicated to its mission - all others after, though newer and considered upgrades, would fail to ultimately destroy it; ironically because it learned/became human

@@redpandafirefox9434Think i read somewhere that the T-800 was basically where effectiveness and reliability met for the T series as Skynet had built them as the perfecf infiltration war machines. Meanwhile the more advanced models like the T-1000 and TX were created out of desperation as a result of Skynet losing the war against John and the need to assassinate him and Sarah in the past became more urgent hence they were more specialized but lacked the T-800s robustness and adaptability

But it goes against the lore of what was in earlier movies. Terminators are set to read-only when they are dispatched so that aren't supposed to do the things that they do in Genisys and Dark Fate.

Pops is also aged in his endoskeleton and his cpu. Just like technology it ages as everything else in the world kinda like a computer the more it use the more it loses its stability and integrity and ability to keep up If I’m not mistaken, isn’t this terminator from 1991 when he was time traveled to that time, and now to this time he has severely degraded, that’s why he’s also slower and weaker against the T3000 because remember this Arnold/terminator is the design of the T8 hundred model 101 before his design was the T6 hundred after his design was His was T 800 next was T850 next was T900 then T1 thousand and then after that was the TX terminator taking into account. The T1000 was an upgraded T 800.

When I first watched terminator, I never thought the franchise would go this route. 5:06 brought back so much nostalgia. The biker jacket, his unrivaled dedication, and him sacrificing himself to help save the world, again. I know Terminator is old but the nostalgia of that one scene, is just so much too take in. I just never thought I’d see the day Arnold would no longer be The Terminator. From Killer to Hero, he went out a true hero.🦾

I would've preferred a sequel to Genisys because it put forward something different; that Pops, Sarah and Kyle are all in present day with knowledge that the future isn't set anymore other than the mysterious Skynet Core in the Post Credit Scene... But Terminator Dark Fate, a sequel to T2; which sort to rehash the same plot again of a machine like being coming back from the future to protect the leader of the Resistance. Woke stuff or not. It was the same old rubbish with new action set pieces to distract the audience from seeing it was the same plot all over again. Genisys had set up something new of a mystery ally in the future who sent Pops back with a wiped memory, even though that could've been Katherine Brewster, John's wife. I would been nice to have it explained because Genisys was supposed to be a new whole Trilogy but we're left without answers. 😥

Almost all of the backlash was because of not understanding the timeline when the sequels were supposed to show us, smfh. Genisys SURPASSED their sales goals and even with all the negative reviews, there was still a interest in sequels even from those giving the bad reviews. To add insult to injury, they cancel the trilogy to make dark fate as if that garbage had ANY chance of succeeding. Theirs a shit ton of avenues they could have picked up the story from here. Imagine at the end of this trilogy if they were able to make terminator John survive (like the nano bots falling into the liquid metal or something like that) and in the sequels Kyle and Sarah end up having a kid that they name John and in The third movie, cyberdyne rebuilt the campus since genisys core survived the explosion. But unlike in this movie, genisys actually goes online and judgement day happens and sets everything up where human John Connor will lead the human resistance against skynet which terminator John Connor is the general for. Idk if that’s where they were gonna go but that is just something I thought of off the top of my head. I know for sure tho in the sequels we were gonna see what happened to John after getting infected as well as learning about the T5000s lore etc. they should have shrugged off the negative reviews knowing that they will get better as the full picture gets shown and questions get answered. They should have also taken into account that every new terminator movie gets hated on because anything other than the first two are “trash”. Each movie only gets popular like a decade after it’s released. Terminator 3 is now a masterpiece according to every terminator fan when it was so despised when it came out, they released a entire series in order to try and erase it lmao

They did such a piss poor job with dark fate, they didn’t even take into account that the extended version of t2 shows a scene like 30 years later where John has a kid and is now a US senator, so I guess it’s only a sequel to certain versions of T2 and not others 🤣

Same but not for the reasons u explained but mostly because then we could have seen pops as a t1800 model since he fell into liquid metal at 6:00 so it would have been interesting to see pops as a new terminater since even tho t800 is still effective it just doesn't make sense how t800 always beats newer terminater models that are alot more modernized and upgraded then him, so it would make more sense if he had a new terminater model upgraded to T1800 because then it would be more interesting and it would make sense on how pops is doing great against newer models for a story perspective and it also wouldn't ruin new terminater models because getting man handled from a outdated old t800 model just makes the newer terminaters look weak

None of the terminator movies are bad some are better then others but none are bad I always loved how the T800 always fought superior cyborgs even though he couldn't beat them alone he still put up a good fight against T1000, TX, T3000 and Rev9 this just proves that the T800 is still the toughest cyborg the best fight in my opinion is T800 well T850 but not much difference honestly but T800 vs TX

  • @satan899

It would have been cool to see a scene of miles, Danny and maybe some random people react to the timer speeding up. They were probably gonna have like a huge public event at cyberdyne that afternoon to celebrate genisys coming online. There’s no way the campus would be that empty if they were expecting it so it would have been cool to see the reactions when they realized something wasn’t right. I always wonder how long it would have been after coming online that skynet would have triggered all the nukes. I doubt it would have happened that very second but I would have been curious as to the chain of events that would have happened immediately after coming online. My guess tho is that America’s nukes would have went off before the morning at least. I think it was awesome seeing the overhead of the city and watching the genysis timers turn off on all of the screens knowing the beautiful city was seconds away from being nothing but ruins with a dark foggy sky because of all the nukes that were about to be launched. They really needed to continue the genysis sequels instead of canceling them because nobody knew how John becoming a terminator had such a huge impact on the timeline which caused the majority of the negative reviews when the sequels were supposed to show us the full picture. What would of had a better chance of success? A well put together sequel that made the image of the genysis timeline much clearer or dark fate which had absolutely ZERO chance of success. There’s no way the directors DIDNT see all the negative reactions. There’s no way people would understand the effects of John getting attacked only 1/3 of the way thru. Genysis if the sequels were good could be a great movie and rated highly in the long run, but since the sequels got canceled it will forever be considered a failure. Smfh

It’ll be better if Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines to be a prequel but change the story with no back through time but learn how Skynet was made and how John Connor in that timeline became the leader of the resistance and then we’ll get to Terminator: Salvation and then a sequel to Terminator: Salvation on what happens after the event of Terminator 1 where we continue with the resistance fighting Skynet in their timeline and maybe John Connor will finally rest after Skynet is destroyed. But that’s not what I hope for till we got Terminator: Genisys and Terminator: Dark Fate. But oh well, at least the franchise is over. But do you think an idea on having Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines and Terminator: Salvation as prequels instead of as sequels to Terminator 2: Judgement Day?

As epic as this scene is with the explosion, I kinda wish they had like half of the T-3000 survive somehow, and then show a black screen with circuitry and text (T-800's rerouting to auxiliary power visual like we saw in T-2 after he gets impaled by the T-1000) that reads something like "NEW AUGMENTATION ACCEPTED. INITIALIZING UPGRADE". Then we get to see him emerge from the liquid metal as a T-1000 and repair himself (also de-aging Arnold back to T-1/T-2 era as the liquid metal should be able to do that) to then duke it out with what's left of the T-3000.. and win.. of course.. It sucks we don't get to see Pops fight with his new form.

Nothing about this fight makes any sense. He could have ended this fight so many times with all the nanobot powers he had and killed all of them but somehow didn't. He can apparently form blades at any moment that can rip off a T-800's arm but chooses to only do this once and otherwise rely on punches?
