Kanmani is a 1994 Tamil language film directed by R. K. Selvamani. The film features Prashanth and Mohini in lead roles whilst Sujatha, Lakshmi and Jaishankar play supporting roles, Music by Ilaiyaraaja
Synopsis-
Krishna (Prashanth) belongs to a middle-class family, where his father (Jaishankar) is a womanizer & does not bother about his family. On the other hand Krishna is an energetic, aggressive & ambitious young man who wants to achieve something big in life. Kanmani (Mohini) is the daughter of a rich business woman (Lakshmi) who is very arrogant and does anything for money, she even abandoned her husband when Kanmani was a baby for money. Kanmani grew up to be a bully, by bringing a bunch of friends in her vehicle & always takes a video camera with her. Then later initiates & aggravate them. Krishna & Kanmani play spoof & gag tricks on each other & fight after they met but eventually fall in love. Kanmani's mother is not happy about it. She dislikes Krishna as sees him as her enemy number one, enraged by this she tries everything to break them up & she even arranges a marriage between Kanmani & son of the Governor of Tamil Nadu. Krishna is being harassed by the Goons & by Kanmani's mother, in all forms. How Krishna comes out of all these torment & gets Kanmani forms the rest of the story.
