Little Information About Teresa Teng
邓丽君 (Dèng Lìjūn) also known as Teresa Teng was a chinese singer. She was known for her ballads and folk songs, like He Ri Jun Zai Lai (When Will You Return), The Moon Represents My Heart, I Only Care About You (Wo Zhi Zhai Hu Ni). She recorded songs in Mandarin Chinese, Hokkien, Cantonese, Indonesian, and also in English. She died from from a severe respiratory attack. She was actually on vacation in Thailand when she got asthma attack.

Teresa passed on in May 1995 most unexpectedly. The 30th anniversary of her passing will be here in 2 years. As is evident, her posthumous fame and acclaim has not subsided one bit. Her place in history as East Asia's unrivaled songstress is certain. Like Bruce-mania, Teresa-mania will live on.
The greatest singer and human being I have ever seen in my 60 years of being on this earth! Since I found Teresa over a year ago, all of my other records and CDs just collect dust. Anyone else I ever listened to has just faded away! She just has to be the greatest voice in recorded music history!

What a wonderful piece of music and what a wonderful performer. My primary language is English, but I am relatively proficient in Japanese. My wife is Chinese and is proficient in English, Mandarin, Cantonese and several other Chinese dialects. Teresa Teng sings in English, Nihongo, and Chinese with no accent! We used to enjoy singing in a karaoke bar owned by a Taiwanese friend. I would sing kitaguni no haru (North Country Spring) in Japanese, my wife would sing the same song in mandarin (Me and You), and my friend would sing it in Taiwanese. What great fun! I love this song and the way Teresa Teng sang it in any language.
