It really worked for me, it is a mask but also an at home treatment (two step process). I recommend that you either go to see someone at Theresa´s clinic or find an specialist nearby that works with Cosmelan. They should be able to tell you if you need it and they can do the treatment mask and then give you the at home treatment.

Thank you for putting out the theory that it doesn't need to be any higher than 0.2 and that it is going to make a difference at 0.2 and there is no need to go further. I had too many bad experiences with sharp tools as a teenager/in my 20's to let myself near sharp tools without the full knowledge that they wont make me bleed!

Could you do a full video on dermarollers? I'm so curious to try but rather nervous. I'm rather freaked out by the idea of needles piercing my skin and just imagine it turning into an infected mess. I specifically would like to know (1) where to buy (or at least what to look for in a "quality" product), (2) how you can incorporate it into a normal routine (do I cleanse, acid tone, dermaroll, serum, moisturize?), (3) how do you keep these things clean (sanitize after use only, sanitize before and after use... what about storage??). Hi Caroline. Is there any chance you could do a full guide on blackheads? So things like why we get them, what products/ product order we are using that can are encouraging them, how to get rid of them (clinc treatments / at home treatments) and any other helpful information. Kind of like a Blackhead Bible? I've had blackheads on my nose and full forehead for the last 15 years. They have started to spread to under my eyes, up the slides of my cheeks and around my mouth. My skin can be quite reactive to harsh and invasive products so was always a bit scared to try microdermabrasion but if this is the only way I would try it. Many thanks!

I love P50, but it has in no way gotten rid of blackheads

A great antiseptic is Cutasept and Cutasept F (sold in the pharmacies), used by surgeons, before injections etc. You can use it to disifect brushes, hands etc. It fights lots of bacteria, viruses and fungi.

This kit sounds great! Excellent video as always 🖤 But I'm really confused about the dermaroller. I've been looking into then recently and in your interview with Paula Begoun you both said how repeatedly wounding the skin doesn't generate collagen, it generates scar tissue and over time makes the skin stiffer rather than more supple and pliable. Is it a case of amateur/longer needle lengths causing this? Or is it something you changed your stance on? I'm keen to find out if dermarolling could help some of my acne scars or make my skin worse! x

In your blog post with Paula Begoun, you said that you hated Dermarolling & agreed with her statement that it is physiologically bad for the skin. This video contrasts sharply with that post. Has Dermarolling evolved so much since then to change your opinion entirely? I've been a Hirons groupie for a long time!! 💛

Hi Maria! You're absolutely spot on. I think education and control over the roller has come on massively. In the early days everyone wanted one, there was little to no education, and I would see damaged skin a lot of the time. These days people seem to have hopefully got the message of using a genuine dermaroller, using it in conjunction with good product and hopefully not using it like a lawn mower. I love that you'e been around a long time. ;) x

Help, clarification needed. A couple years ago (maybe?), you did a video with Paula Begoun wherein you both rejected use of dermarollers. You stated your belief that dermarollering produces scar tissue rather than true collagen production. When Paula agreed, I stopped using my dermaroller. I mean, really, a consensus between Caroline and Paula on any issue constitutes gossip in my book. What changed your mind? New research? Thanks!!! P.S. And could you also clarify current science regarding needle length. After reading through other comments, I see that several of us had heard that collagen production requires a longer needle length. Hello everybody. Thank you for the great video. I would like to try the microneadling. My skin is very thin, dry and rather sensitive. It tends to redness and wide capillaries. Please Caroline, can you speak about how you combine it with the rest of your skincare routine? Even if you are not using a retinol the night you perform the treatment, you might be able to other nights? I am currently using the Advanced Night Repair, followed by Pestle & Mortar Superstar Retinol oil after micro needling (Swiss Clinic). I had no idea you were not suppose to combine the two :/

You can, it's just when people use a retinoid during micro-needling. It can be overkill if you're not careful x

Erica G it’s definitely good for acne and a lot of people are saying it’s good for aging. I’m not sure how well it’s work on pigmentation though, I feel like a good lactic acid along with a strong vit c serum would be more effective.

what Ty space said is right on, and i’ve also heard it is not as effective as retin-a for anti-aging (i.e.- deeper wrinkles, firmness) because adapalene does not increase collagen production like tretinoin can. check out dr. dray’s channel for more in depth discussion of the two :)

Doctor prescribed me some for pigmentation. Not worked. Used all over skin and my dermatologist said it is thinning my skin. Confusing!

Hey :) The products sounds really interesting, thank you so much for showing and explaining them to us! :) I really need your help. I have been suffering from acne flare ups for a few months now (I´m 22). In my teenage years I had the usual teenage pimples, but ever since March 2016 I´ve been struggeling with acne. I then had about 9 months when I had no spots at all, but since Summer 2017 and especially after I moved to London in September (I lived in Berlin beforehand) I got more and more spots. I don´t really have big pores, I rather get congested skin and cystic spots than small spots. So far, I haven´t found anything that helps. I would describe my skin as normal (I don´t really get overly shiny, I have no dry spots but my nose and forehead get easily dry in the winter), I double-cleanse with Clinique take the day off balm and Oskia Renaissance Cleansing Gel. I used to use the Merumaya Gentle Exfoliating Toner and Pixi Glow Tonic (did nothing for my skin) and I am now trying Alpha H Liquid Gold (still in testing phase). My main problems are the congested pores (which just do not want to clear up no matter what I do) and the hyperpigmentation that usually follow the spots and no exfoliating acid so far managed to brighten these spots. Do you have any advice for me? I absolutely love your blog! You have been such an revelation for me regarding my skincare! Therese
