When she was younger.....I am quite sure she got into several "serious" scuffles. Paterson is (was) a very diverse community with a very dark and violent side. I mean Big Time. Today, if you don't have to go to Paterson....you simply don't go there. It's a shame too, there is a lovely old theater there called the "Capital Theater". Last performer I saw there was, Roger Daltry of the "Who" back in the 80's. For a young, Italian girl in the middle of such a rough neighborhood, you really didn't have a choice but to fight or....it's the lay of the land. She's lucky she had a brother to stick up for her, which I'm sure used all the time. - Cheers
