This is some of the best shadowboxing I've seen. His arms are synchronized with his feet in small movements. Beautiful.

Crawford is very good indeed but have you ever seen Mike Tyson shadow boxing? Lol Mike is without a doubt the greatest when it comes to shadow boxing & heavy bag across all weight divisions! Just pure skill, speed and unmtached intensity.

@@high.already Dude, duh! I literally used to model myself off of Tyson after I was done with my routine. He stays close to the ground, so he's quick to leap from side to side and has explosive power coming upwards. Crawford is beautiful in a different way and they're stylistically nothing alike.

The problem with Bud is - He’s just that damn good. Bud don’t need to talk, he’s one of the last old school fighter’s left. Hell whip you and slowly pick you apart piece by piece. Name your fighter in the welterweight division or the next one up, Terrence from another era. Old school, fights them anywhere, any place, any time. This stage in his career the financials are the key as we all know.

I see you champ. I know you'll never read this message but I just wanted to say Big Congrats anyway! I was a little emotionally conflicted about the fight since I'm a huge fan of both you and Errol. But I always maintained you were the superior boxer but I felt Errol's size advantage would be too much. I was wrong and the only thing now is to wish you the best for the rest of your career. And even more important hope, wish and/or pray that Spence gets the medical attention he requires because he didn't look so good at the end of that fight. And I fear the brother may have gotten brain damage.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but Crawford uses a more open stance when shadow boxing. Notice that he brings his lead foot forward instead of blading his body to the side. Taking on a more shoulder width, open stance like a wrestler would. I wonder if he does this because of his wrestling background?

You can open your hips up and generate more power in this stance. A reason why wrestler stand like this is you have a stronger base and can generate more force when pushing from the ground. Probably natural for him to do from his background like you said. Blading is better in-fighting. You take away a whole side your opponent has to attack. Plus you can you the shoulder and angles to turn your opponent and deflect shots. Watch old school boxers. They fought more like this and less bladed until they got inside. That bladed stance takes away from your footwork too.

Younger fighters should study this. If you watch, he fights from his feet and legs(base) first. Even when he's punching he's stepping or torquing from the hips. Wrestling base is paying off here. Andre ward said in an interview feet 1st. Crawford is showing what he meant. Another thing he's not doing that "boxers bounce". He's always planted to the ground with a solid base and foundation. Always strong to throw, defend, clinch and not giving a rhythm the opponent can key in on. Wrestling fundamentals again showing they can help your boxing game.
