There have been 2-3 instances in the early 2000s where hairstyles caught on. The most memorable was tere naam followed by Ghajini.

What you commented about Salman's hair brought back a lot of memories. I remember we used to call it "loiki style"(literally meaning buffalo's horn style)😂😂. This style had 2 phases...one was because of Jack in Titanic in the late 90s and the other one was because of this movie in the early 2000s. I was still very young at that time but I remember many of our older brothers styling their hair like Leonardo and Salman. The good old simple days.😁
